R.L. Walker, interment following in Mountain View Co ngiory at Blacksburg, Mrs. Dover was a native of Kings Mountain and a charter member of Kings Mountain Church of God. She was the daughter of the late John and Fannie Bell Ham Mullinax and the widow of Forrest Dover. Surviving are one daughter, Emma Jean Gregory of Bessemer City; four brothers, Garland Mullinax of Silver Springs, Md., Worth Mullinax of Riverdale, Md., Floyd Mullinax and Lawrence Mullinax, both of Blacksburg, S.C., three sisters, Anna Bell of Blacksburg, S.C., Mamie Condrey of Shelby and Jeanette Turner of Grover; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. LOYD’S Mrs. Stepp was a native of Buncombe County, retired textile employee, and daughter of the late James A. and Nancy Elizabeth Irby. Her first husband was the late James Staggs. Surviving are her husband, James McKinley Stepp; two sons, James Staggs, Jr. of Waxhaw and William McKinley Staggs of Shelby; a daughter, Inez Staggs of Charlotte; a sister, Eva Wall of Danville, Va., six grand- children and two great- grandchildren. MARY GRACE MOORE Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Grace Berry Moore, 57, of Long Creek Church Road, who died Saturday in the Kings Mountain Hospital, were conducted Monday at 4 p.m. from Long Creek Presbyterian Church of which she was a member. Mrs. Moore was a Gaston County native and formerly served on the board of the Chestnut Ridge Volunteer Fire Department. She was the daughter of the late John and Viola Wilson Berry. Surviving are three sons, Frankie Moore of Kings Mountain, Gary Moore of Greer,S.C. and Warren Moore of Morganton; one daughter, Cynthia M. Stamey of Kings Mountain; four brothers, Isaac Berry of Bessemer City, David Berry of Hampstead and John Berry and Thomas Berry, both of Kings Mountain, and four grandchildren. CHARLES G. SWOFFORD Charles Glenn Swofford, 69, of 319 12th Ave., N., St. Petersburg, Fla., formerly of Kings Mountain, died Satur- day. He was a retired plumber. He was the son of the late Robert and Mary Ethel Green Swofford. Surviving are his wife, Etta Barnes Swofford; five brothers,-Howard Swofford of Kings Mountain, Roy Swof- ford of Shelby, Lee Swofford of Dallas, Texas, Alfred Swofford of Indianapolis, Inc., and James Swofford of Minneapolis, Minn., and one sister, Alice Arcand of Forest Lake, Minn. Mrs. Still, former resident of Kings Mountain and a former school teacher in Kings Mountain and Winston- Salem, died Sunday at 3 p.m. at Covenant Village in Gastonia, where she had resided for several years. She died after an illness of several years. She was a native of Cleveland County, daughter of the late R. Lawrence and Jennie Grace Redfern Mauney, pioneer Kings Mountain citizens and in- dustrialists. She was a graduate of Kings Mountain!
