Barnes Auditorium. At intermission, ‘‘The Kings Revue’ from Kings Mountain Junior and Senior High Schools, under the direction of Gene Bumgard- ner, delighted the large au- dience with popular, sacred and patriot selections. The 17 students from grades 8-12 are Chorus and Band members and volunteer to practice for the group one hour every day after school. Their perfor- mances, which are always applauded as ‘‘super’’ number about 20 perfor- mances each year. Judges for the talent show were Mrs. Baneen Froneberger of Bessemer Ci- ty, Dr. Robert Decker of Boil- ing Springs and Mrs, Kathy Burgin of Shelby. Performers were winners from the various schools in K-5 grades. y Performing in K-First Grade division of the show were Sharon Jones who per- formed a ballet number to “Splish, Splash’; Sara Husk- ing who play yed the piano; Joda Clark who presented a dance routine; Michael N.C. Symphony To Perform Here The North Carolina Sym- phony Chamber Orchestra, under the baton of Associate Conductor James Ogle, will perform in Kings Mountain High School’s Barnes Auditorium on Wednesday, April 23 at 8 p.m. The first half of the concert features Beethoven's Cor- iolan Overture, Handel's Con- certo Grosso in G. Major and Dubussy’s Danse. After intermission, the chamber orchestra will per- form “A Tribute to Ridgers and Hammerstein’ including favorites from Oklahoma, Carousel, The King and I, and Victory at Sea. Tickets are $5.50 for adults, $3 for senior citizens and $2 for students. They are available at the door on con- cert night.
