Junior High Athletic Association. The Lady Patriots edged Shelby 18-17 in a game played at KM and nipped Burns 13-12 at Burns. The Lady Patriots pos East McDowell Thurs- ay. Against Shelby, Paula Mor- ris was the winning pitcher and Sharon Melton went 4-for-5 with a home run. Robin Watterson, Nicole Barnes, Morris and Velma Boggs added two hits each.
