Kings Mountain Jaycees Attend Officers College Kings Mountain Jaycee President Claude Suber and five other chapter officers at- tended the North Carolina Jaycees Local Officers’ Leadership College on June 6,7, and 8 at the Asheboro High School. The Local Officers’ Leader- ship college is held annuall to train incoming chapter of- ficers in the management skills and programming responsibilities needed to bet- ter serve their communities. Over 400 Jaycees from across North Carolina attend- ed the three-day seminars ac- cording to Glenn Daly, Presi- dent of the North Carolina Jaycees. A few of the topics covered with the new officers included Public Relations, Leadership Skills, Personnel Management, Fundraising, and Public Speaking. The highlight of the weekend ac- tivities was a tour of the North Carolina Jaycee State Privilege Tax Due Leon Pollander, Revenue Officer, urges taxpayer who are liable for state privilege licenses to apply before July 1 Pollander advises that the 1980 census is to be used where the applicable rate of tax is based upon popuiaiion. Applications for licenses, together with the current remittance, should be mailed to the North Carolina Depart- ment of Revenue, P.O. Box 25000, Raleigh, N.C. 27640, or submitted to the local North Carolina Department of Revenue office. He also said that the panal- ty for failure to comply will be five percent for each delin- uent month, or fraction thereof, after July 1. Bullard Graduates Senior Airman Raymond C. Bullard, son of Raymond T. and Annie M. Bullard of 815 Third St., Kings Mountain, N.C., has graduated from the U.S. Air Force course for computer programmers at Keesler Air Force Base, Miss. Graduates of the course studied the operation of con- ventional and electronic data processing equipment, and earned credits toward an associate degree in applied science through the Com- munity College of the Air Force. fs de Headquarters in Asheboro. ‘‘The Kings Mountain Jaycees and their President, Claude Suber are to be com- mended,” said President Da- ly, “for showing the initiative to attend this years Leader- ship College.
