Barbara Carol Williams, 45,
of 1738 Davis Park Road,
Gastonia, who died Friday in
Gaston Memorial Hospital,
were conducted Sunday
afternoon at 3 p.m. from the
Chapel of Harris Funeral
‘Home.
Rev. Eddie Black officiated
at the rites and interment
was in Mountain Rest
Cemetery.
Mrs. Williams was a native
of Sioux City, Iowa and was
employed by Pizza Hut of
Gastonia. She was daughter
of Herman Bruneau of South
Sioux City, North Dakota and
the late Hazel Matthews
Bruneau.
Surviving, in addition to
her father, are two sons, Bob-
by Williams and Larston
Williams, both of Kings
Mountain; three daughters,
Mrs. Carol Oliver, Mrs. Don-
na Johnson, both of Kings
Mountain, and Mrs. Joan
Necessary of Gastonia; one
brother, Dou Bruneau of
Sioux City, Iowa; three
sisters, Mrs. Elaine Counter
of Sioux City, Iowa, Mrs.
Janet Montaine and Mrs.
Jennie Loradittch, both of
Sioux City, Nebraska, and
one grandchild.

Killed In Wreck Saturday
A 23-year-old Kings Moun-
tain man, Ronald Gary
Dover, of 201 Gaston St., was
killed in a one car wreck ear-
ly Saturday morning on Waco
Road.
Funeral services were con-
ducted Monday afternoon at 2

Dover. was traveling
east on Road 2026 when his
1969 Chevrolet ran off the
roadway on a sharp curve,
according to Highway
‘Patrolman J.R. Reid. The
vehicle ran down an embank-
ment and turned over on its
left side, according to the
patrolman’s report. Reid said
Dover was not wearing a seat

Funeral services for Hazel
Rowland Jones, 66, of 214
Walker St., who died Sunday
in the Cleveland Memorial
Hospital, were conducted
Tuesday morning at 11 a.m.
by Rev. Randolph Alexander,
Rev. Helen Alexander and
Rev. Sherry Owens, inter-
ment following in Bessemer
City Memorial Cemetery.
A native of Macon County,
she was daughter of the late
Jud and Florence Mack
Rowland and the widow of
Garland Jones. She was a
retired textile employee.
Surviving are two brothers,
Milton Rowland of Franklin
and Emmett Rowland of
Cherryville; and a sister,
Mae Tallent of Pittsville, Va.
ARCHIE SELF
LINCOLNTON - Archie
Ralph Self Sr., 52, of Route 4,
Lincolnton, died July 14 in
Bessemer City.
A native of Lincoln County,
he was the son of Mrs. Sally
Ingle Self of Gastonia and the
late Clarence Andrew Self.
He was employed as a heavy
equipment operator for the
city of Lincolnton.
In addition to his mother,
he is survived by his wife,
Sarah Ann Alexander Self of
the home; one son, Archie
Ralph Self Jr. of Madison,
Dover, 23,
belt and the upper part of his
body was thrown out the win-
dow. He said Dover had a
broken neck and head in-
juries.
Excessive speed was not a
factor in the accident, accor-
ding to Reid, who said a tire
may have blown out.
A native of Cleveland Coun-
ty, Dover was the son of Mrs.
Louise Lovelace Dover of
Kings Mountain and Paul
Dover of Clover, S.C. and was

Surviving, in addition to his
parents, are one daughter,
Crystal Dover of Kings Moun-
tain; and three sisters, Mrs.
Katherine Jackson, Mrs.
Teresa Jackson and Mrs.
Kimberly Smith, all of Kings
Mountain.

new teachers to the staff.

September. Mrs. Mauney is a
certified teacher and has
the KM Aging Center.
