Football David Sherrill of 1601 South Point Road, Belmont, hit the tie-breaker on the nose to win the $100 prize in last week’s -Herald football contest. Sherrill was one of six con- testants to correctly predict 18 of 20 winners in area high school and college games. Others involved in the tie were Deborah Hayes of 807 Rhodes Avenue, Kings Moun- tain; Robert Wilson of 107 North. Piedmont Avenue, Kings Mountain; H.K. Ham- bright of P.O. Box 881, Kings Mountain; Patrick Heavner of 111 Country Club Road, Kings Mountain; and Gary Bess of Route 4 Kings‘ Mountain, “wiv. i Sherrill predicted that 41 points would be scored in the South Point-North Gaston game which was won by North Gaston 27-14. Bess predicted 27 points, Heavner 35, Hambright 34, Wilson 34, and Hayes 38.
