Entertaining with the Herndons were Mr. and Mrs. James Herndon, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Neisler, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Neisler, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Neisler and Vr. and Mrs. John O. Plonk, T. Joe Neisler was chef for the event and barbecued on the site under a striped tent. Guests also enjoyed brunswick stew, slaw, corn- bread, barbecue with all the trimmings and dessert. The buffet table and tables and chairs for seating of 60 guests were arranged on the terrace of the beautiful Hern- don home. The table center- piece, which was created by Mrs. James Herndon, was a combined of football mums to create a white pe complete with snout and curly tail. Checked cloths overlaid all the tables which were ar- ranged with greenery and lanterns. A big bonfire kept the guests warm as a full harvest moon rose in the sky.
