KM WOMEN MODEL IN FASHION SHOW—Pictured are some of the models in ‘Spotlight America’’, a fashion show presented by Cleveland Tech students Fashion Show Held At Tech “Spotlight America’, the Fall fashion show presented Thursday evening by Fashion Merchandising and Marketing Technology Department at Cleveland Technical College, gave the show-goer a preview of clothing, available locally, which could be worn in the major fashion cities of the country. Proceeds from the fashion show were earmarked to help pay expenses of students at the New York Seminar, a learning experience for fashion students in America’s fashion center. Young people modeled casual and dress up fashions for California, Texas, Col- orado, the Carolinas and New York and clothes for travel- ing was also included in the ‘professional show presented = by the students and other models with stage settings to depict the various cities. Stores presenting fashions and models were Denim Den, Fashions Ltd., Ormond Shop, J.C. Penney, Pushpa Fashions, all of Shelby, and Plonk Brothers of Kings Mountain. Scene coordinators were Wendy Calton, California; Sheila Bolin, Texas; Cindy Brown, Colorado; Lynn Wallace, Carolinas; and Susan Mauney, New York. Sheila Bolin was show com- local George. First, second, and third place winners will be award- ed trophies in each of the three contest divisions (elementary, high school, and adult.) A $5 entry fee will be charged. The deadline for entries is November 25. Con- test proceeds will be used for GBP’s state project, the North Carolina Make-A-Wish Foundation. (CFI) announced this week that educational loan funds are still available for the 1986-87 academic year. CFI has financial commitments from North Carolina banks in excess of its current estimates on loan needs for funding through the N.C. In- sured Student Loan Program and the N.C. PLUS Loan Pro- gram, for 1986-87 schooling. N.C. PLUS Loans are available to parents of depen- dent students, both undergraduate and graduate. These funds are available for applications received by the Foundation up to 30 days before the end of the academic period specified in the loan request. According to their enrollment situation and financial situations, students may specify the full academic year, or specific semesters or quarters, as their loan periods.
