But there’s one thing wrong with Gardner-Webb - it’s not free. We're thankful for scholarship donors who make it possible for students to attend.” Speaking for the faculty, Wilson said that Gardner- Webb is a college of the mind, the heart and the hands. “Gardner-Webb is one family with many members; one in- stitution with many disciplines.” He expressed appreciation for the donors, saying, “It takes hands to build this family.” White told donors, ‘It is blessed to give and it is bless- ed to receive. Alumni Plan Trip To Game The Cleveland County Alumni Chapter of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is planning a chartered bus trip to the UNC-Illinois basketball game in Chapel Hill Dec. 20. The $40 per person fee in- cludes transportation, game ticket, refreshments, and din- ner after the game. The bus will leave the Shelby Law Enforcement Center at 11 a.m. Par- ticipants should bring a pic- nic lunch for a pregame tailgate party. The group will eat dinner before returning to a Shelby.
