The Kings Mountain High
School class of 1936 held its
50th anniversary reunion
recently at Kings Mountain
Country Club.
Nineteen classmates at-

Howard, Ruth Moss Masters,
Wray Plonk, Dorothy Plonk
Lewis, Aileen White Ball, and

Jonathan's mother is the
former Bathy Butler,
Jonathan also has a sister,
Misty, age two and one half.

Dr. George Plonk, who was
the class secretary, served as
master of ceremonies, Other
class officers were Earl
McGill, president; Margaret
Cooper, vice-president; and
Dorothy Plonk, treasurer.
Mascots were Patty Anne
Neisler and Pete ‘‘Sonny’’
McDaniel. McDaniel attend-
ed the reunion. The class col-
ors were lavender and gold,
the class motto was ‘‘Depart
To Serve” and the class
flower was the sweet pea.
A special edition of the
“Loud Speaker”, which in-
cluded a class picture, class
prophecy, last will and testa-
ment, dedications and senior
superlatives, were given to
each classmate as they’
reminisced about their days
at KMHS.
