The Christmas theme of the wedding was carried out in decorative details. Mrs. Charles Ballew and Mrs. Jack Arnette arranged the holiday tables in magnolia leaves on a mirror with white satin bows and streamers and green candles in hur- ricanes.The tables were overlaid with green cloths. The 50 guests were members of the two families and wedding party. Mrs. William M. Willliams of West Simsburg,Conn.,toasted the couple by reading the toast her father, Doug’s maternal grandfather, read at the 50th wedding anniversary of Mr.and Mrs. F.J. Sincox,Sr. in 1972.The bridegroom-elect’s father also toasted the couple. A bridesmaids buffet lun- cheon Dec. 26 at Gaston Country Club honored Miss Kim Robinson,bride-elect of Doug Sincox of Kings Moun- tain. Dr.and Mrs. William Mor- ris Patrick of Gastonia and their daughter, Pegy Melissa Patrick, maid of honor in the Dec. 27th wedding, were hosts and presented the bride-elect with a collector’s plate entitled, ‘‘The Wedding”’, which features a kissing bride and groom in an elaborate flower garden and Victorian home. The bride- elect said the plate reminded her of Myers Park in Charlotte where Doug pro- posed to Kim. Miss Robinson presented the maid of honor with a lattice-work China bowl. A Court Whist party at the home of Mrs. John O. Plonk,Jr. on N. Piedmont Avenue honored bride-elect Kim Robinson on Dec.16. Entertaining together were Mrs. Lawrence Eugene Hin- nant, Mrs. Charles Ballew and Mrs. Robert Owen Southwell. The Plonk home was beautifully decorated for Christmas and dessert was served prior to the card par- ty. Tables were set up for the bride, her mother, Mrs. Tom Robinson, and her future mother-in-law, Mrs. Fran Sincox, in the Plonk’s bride’s room. The hostesses presented Miss Robinson with an assortment of her everyday china and gourmet ware. A candlelight buffet dinner at the home of Mr.and Mrs. Lamar Stroupe, 1211 Robin- wood Road, in Gastonia honored Miss Kim Robinson Dec. 17. Mrs. Stroupe had invited ~ some former Sunday School teachers of Miss Robinson at Parkwood Baptist Church, of which the bride-elect is a member. Bougets of winter greenery decorated the dinner table. The annual Robinson fami- ly buffet Christmas dinner on Dec. 20th honored Miss Robinson and her fiance, Doug Sincox. Mr.and Mrs. James Jones hosted the get-to-gether in Gaffney,S.C. Mr.and Mrs. Bobby Frank Maner entertained Dec. 21 at a dinner party for Miss Kim Robinson and Doug Sincox. Mr.and Mrs. Herman Greene, the bride’elect’s aunt and uncle were co-hosts. In keeping with the yuletide seasonal decor, the buffet table was arranged with red plaid ribbon streamers in and around a centerpiece. Miss Robinson and Mr. Sin- cox enjoyed opening wedding gifts of ornaments, china and crystal presented to them by the Maner and Greene families. Guests were members of the two families. Mrs. Henry Parks Neisler entertained Dec. 22 at an afternoon tea at her home honoring Dec. 27 bride-elect Kim Robinson.
