WALTER LEWIS
Funeral services for
Walter Lewis, 58, of Route 1,
who died Tuesday at home,
were conducted by the Rev.
Dewey Smith at 3 p.m. Sun-
day from Galilee United
Methodist Church, interment
following in Adams Chapel
Cemetery.
Mr. Lewis was a Cleveland
County native, son of the late
Austin and Leola Crosby
Lewis and a former employee
of Mauney Hosiery Mills.
He was a member of
Galilee United Methodist
Church and a member of
United Methodist Men and a
trustee. He was a member of
D. A. McKay Lodge No. 584.
Surviving are his wife,
Catherine Hutchins Lewis;
two sons, Kenneth Walter
Lewis of Kings Mountain and
James Lewis of Gastonia; a
brother, James Crosby of
Kings Mountain; a sister,
Mary E. Jimerson of Kings
Mountain; and four grand-
children.

Robert Dulin Cook, 91, of 205
Carolina Ave.,of Grover, who
died Wednesday in the Kings
Mountain Convalescent
Center, were conducted Fri-
day at 11 a.m. from the
Chapel of Harris Funeral
Home by Rev. Mitchell Pruitt
and Rev. James Sanders, in-
terment following in Moun-
tain Rest Cemetery.
Mr. Cook was a York Coun-
ty,S.C. native, son of the late
Mr.and Mrs. Jerome Cook.
He was a retired paint con-
tractor and a member of
First Baptist Church.
He was the husband of the
late Farris Mamie Gragg
Cook.
Surviving are a son, J.
Pinkney Cook of Grover; two
daughters, Dorothy Childers
of Greensboro and Ruby Lit-
tle of Grover; a brother, J. B.
Cook, of Blacksburg,S.C.,
five grandchildren and 10
great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Roseboro was a native
of Spartanburg, S.C. and
widow of Luther Roseboro
and the daughter of the late
Henry and Alma V. Francis.
She was a member of
Mount Zion Baptist Church
and the Eva Hopper Mis-
sionary Group.
Surviving are three sons,
James L. Roseboro of
Roebuck, S.C., Samuel L.
Roseboro of Philadelphia,
Pa., and Carlee Roseboro of
California; three daughters,
Sally Mae Williams, Dessie
R. Crosby and Margretta
Roseboro, all of Kings Moun-
tain; a brother, Robert Fran-
ckis of Philadelphia, Pa.; a
sister, Leola Smith,
Philadelphia, ‘Pa. 29 grand-
children, 51 great-
grandchildren and five great-
great grandchildren.
GROVER C. MOSS
Funeral services for
Grover Cleveland Moss, 61,
former resident of Kings
Mountain, were held Thurs-
day at 11 a.m. in San Antonio,
Texas where he had resided
since 1943.
Mr. Moss died suddenly of
a heart attack Monday at 3
p.m. in San Antonio. He was
self-employed and a veteran
of World War II. He attended
Second Baptist Church when
the family lived in Kings
Mountain.
A Cleveland County native,
he ws the son of the late
Clarence and Minnie Hut-
chins Moss.
Surviving are his wife,
Lucy; two daughters; one
son; three sisters, Mrs. Kate
Smith of Shelby, Mrs. Blair
Moss Lankford of Cherryville
and Mrs. Ida Mae Gainey of
Tucson, Arizona; and two
brothers, Lawrence Moss of
Shelby and Adam Sylvanus
Moss of Dallas.

Funeral services for Mrs.
Edna Propst Bridges, 59, of
824 Grace St., who died Fri-
day, were conducted Monday
afternoon at 2 p.m. from the
Chapel of Harris Funeral
Home.
Rev. James Lowery of-
ficiated at the rites and inter-
ment was in Mountain Rest
Cemetery. :
Mrs. Bridges was a native
of Rutherford County and
daughter of the late Forrest
and Arie Self Propst. She was
the widow of Ronald Bridges.
Surviving are four sons,
Johnny Propst of Gastonia,
James Beheler, Ronald
Beheler and Kenneth
Bridges, all of Kings Moun-
tain; two daughters, Mrs. Til-
ly Foster of Kings Mountain
and Mrs. Hattie Walker of
Forest City; three brothers,
Robert Propst of McCook,
Nebraska, Carl Propst of
Chicago Heights, Ill. and
Douglas Propst of Lake
Lure; three sisters, Zettie
Toney of Kings Mountain,
Geneva Angel of Forest City
and Virginia Green of Ellen-
boro; and 10 grandchildren.

Robert Lovelace, 56, of Route
6, who died Saturday at
home, were conducted Mon-
day at 3 p.m. from Oak Grove
Baptist Church of which he
was a member. )
Rev. Ron Caulder, Rev.
Dennis Helms and Rev. Win-
fred Bagwell officiated at the
rites and interment was in
the church cemetery.
Mr. Lovelace was a native
of Cleveland County, son of
the late Ausby Lovelace, and
was employed as a salesman
for service American, Inc. of
Gastonia.
Surviving are his wife,
Sarah Champion Lovelace;
his mother, Mrs. Lizzie Led-
ford Griffie of Gastonia; two
sons, Kenneth Lovelace of
Shelby and Steve Lovelace of
Orlando, Fla., three
daughters, Kathy Childers of
Grover, Pam Turner and
Paulette Towery, both of
Kings Mountain; one
brother, Kenneth Lovelace of
Gastonia; two sisters,
Training Class
Is Underway
A training class for Hospice
volunteers got underway
Monday at First Baptist
Church and will continue for
seven Monday nights from 7
until 9 p.m.
The first class was
reschedlued because of the
snow. Persons who miss a
class can make the class up
