HOYLE MABRY Mr. and Mrs. Hoyle Mabry, well known Kings Mountain couple, celebrated their Golden Wedding Day Feb. 15th at an anniversary recep- tion in the Fellowship Hall of Boyce Memorial ARP Church. : Entertaining together were their daughter, Mrs. Malcolm Tedder, Mrs. Mabry’s sisters, Mrs. E.O. Whitworth and Mrs. M.O. Ba-_ zoon, and their nieces, Mrs. Lloyd Wiggins and Mrs. Gay" Stinnett, Jr. The golden anniversary theme was beautifully car- ried out in decorative details. The refreshment table was overlaid with a lace cloth and arranged with a golden candelabra of candles, or- chids and gold and white flowers. Centerpiece for the table was a tall pedestal gold and white cake topped with bells and roses and baked by a sister-in-law, Mrs. R.G. Moore. Mrs. Moore cut and served the cake, assisted by Mrs. E.B. Whitworth and Miss Sharmie Wiggins. Punch and party pickups ...Celebrate Golden Wedding Day nd Mrs. Hoyle Mabry Note 50th Anniversary were served from crystal ap- pointments. A granddaughter, Drew Tedder, invited guests to register and goodbyes were said to Mr. and Mrs. Paul Ham. 4 5 Receiving the 250 guests with the Mabrys were their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Malcom Tedder, and their children, Drew and Chad Tedder. Eloise Payne of Bessemer - City and Hoyle Mabry of Kings Mountain were mar- ried Dec. 25, 1936 in South Carolina. The Mabrys have lived all their married lives on North Gaston Street in Kings Mountain. Mr. Mabry is a retired employee of Margrace Mill and Mrs. Mabry is a retired beauti- cian, having been associated with Central Beauty Shop for many years. The family is ac- tive in Boyce Memorial ARP Church. Guests called from 2:30 un- til 5 p.m. Mrs. Mabry wore a navy blue jacket-dress and a cor- sage of yellow roses. Henderson Vice-President Of Gaston Memorial Hospital Robert F'. Henderson, Jr., has been named vice presi- dent of Human Resources at Gaston Memorial Hospital, Gastonia. His most recent position was director of Personnel Services at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital, Jackson, TN, a major west Tennessee referral center. Henderson holds a bachelor of science degree in person- nel administration from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and a master of business administration degree in management from Memphis State University. Mrs. Dedmon covered Social Security laws that were changed in the 99th Congress, that will affect Senior Citizens in 1987 and beyond, the biggest being the increase in deduction for first day of hospitalization from $490 to $520 that the patient must pay. If he is discharged and _ returned to the hospital at a later date but within the first days of his original first ad- mittance to the hospital, he will be considered an original admittance. If after the 61st day, he would have to pay another $520 first day fee and medicare would pick up se- cond day on. _ Birthday Party The annual Birthday Party “of American Legion Post 155 will be a covered dish supper served by the Unit 155 Aux- iliary on Thursday, March 12th, at 6:30 p.m. at the American Legion Building. Supper will be served prior to the regular monthly meeting of Post 155. A decorated blue and yellow * birthday cake will be cut and served by Unit 155 President Ruth Gamble and Post 155 Commander Whitey Hogue. It’s A Boy Phillip and Diane Bunch of Kings Mountain announce the birth of a son, Phillip Stanley Bunch, Jr., Feb. 26, Cleveland Memorial Hospital, Shelby. The baby weighed six pounds, 11 ounces. He has two brothers, Mat- thew and Kenny, and a sister, Sarah. Paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Kelly Bunch of Kings Mountain and Mr. and Mrs. Fredrick Stuhrke of New Jersey.
