Trinity Graduation Held Thirty four ‘‘graduates’ of the Class of 1987 of Trinity Day School donned white caps with red tassels Friday night to receive their “diplomas” before standing room audiences at Trinity Episcopal Church. Headmaster Steve Wells and staffers Diane Davis, head teacher; aide Sandra Petty for their four year old class; Eleanor Scism and her aide, Ina Blanton, for the three year old class; Eleanor Scism and her aide, Ina Blan- ton, for the three year old class, and Gracie White, assisted by Sandra Petty, for the afternoon care class led the program. Mrs. Steve Wells gave the invocation. Prior to the meeting, a social hour will be held from 5:30 until 6 p.m. in the lobby of City Hall. Guest speaker will be Pete Gilbert, attorney with the Speaker’s Bureau of the N.C. Bicentennial, who will outline plans for state and county celebrations and give sugges- tions on how communities can educate the public and emphasize the importance of this 200-year-old document. Bicentennial Public Meeting June 15 Ted Hall, Editor of the Shelby Star, is county chair- man of the Bicentennial of the U.S. Constitution and local coordinators are John Bullington and Dean Westmoreland, the latter representing the KM School system.
