Golf Carts Vandalized At Local Country Club Golf carts in a cart shed at KM Country Club were the object of vandals this week who cut fuel lines, slashed tires and extensively damag- ed a $4,000 golf cart belonging to Stonewall Jackson. Police say they have a suspect in the case, a juvenile. Vandals also broke into the pro shop at the Country Club and took assorted items and $165 in silver from the cash drawer. In addition to the Jackson cart, several rental carts were damaged. Rita Robinson, 808 Cleveland Ave. reported that her car was painted with obscene writing and vandals spray painted a school bus perked at the high school bus ot. Another report of damage to property was filed by Inez Murray, 613 West Mountain St. who said that walls of her rental property at 106 Myers Street were painted. Jeff Gladden, 313 Wilson Terrace, reported larceny of tool box and assorted items valued at $1160 from vehicle; RETIRING TEACHER HONORED—Mrs. Wanda Hunt, for 34 years a school teacher and for the past 23 years a second grade teacher at Bethware School, was honored on her retire- ment tHis year with a plaque from the Association of Educators. Ronnie Maples, Route 5, reported that vandals tried to break into his car parked at KMSHS and damaged the vehicle $300; Danny Hawkins, 108 Marigold Ave., reported the theft of boat equipment totaling $1250; Bil- ly Holland, 902 Second St., reported’ larceny of bicycle; Ricky McDaniel, 418 Cherokee St., reported larceny from vehicle; Elbert Mills, 1014 Second St., reported theft of lawnmower; Timothy Johnson, 213 Par- rish Dr., reported larceny of speakers from car; and Leon Roseboro, 204 Thornburg Dr., reported attempted break-in at his residence. Seminar Scheduled At Tech The Small Business Center of Cleveland Technical Col- lege will sponsor a seminar on ‘Managing Interpersonal Relationships’ on Wed., June 17 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Room 2030. Nesbitt, a freelance associate with Ainsworth & Associates, Inc., will cover the following topics: understanding differences in people’s behavior; improving communication between peo- ple; building team spirit by recognizing and working with unique strengths and weaknesses of personal style; and characterizing behavior into four areas bas- ed on perceptions of asser- tiveness and responsiveness. Tech’s SBC delivers technical and managerial assistance to small business owners and prospective owners by providing informa- tion, education and training, counseling and referral, and partnerships with SCORE, ACE and the Small Business Administration.
