Awards Day to recognize its
outstanding students. The en-
tire student body, school
faculty, and many parents
were present as awards were
presented. The fifth grade
class led the audience in
reciting the ‘Pledge of
Allegiance” and also in sing-
ing “My Country Tis Of
Thee”. It was an enjoyable
and memorable morning.

On Tuesday, June 9 West
School presented Fifth Grade
diplomas to all fifth grade
class members who had suc-
cessfully completed grade re-
quirements. The ceremony
was planned by Beth McIn-
tyre, Jerry and Sheila Led-
ford, and other P.T.O.
voluftteers.
Following a brief address
by Hugh Holland, the school
principal, diplomas were
awarded by Robert McRae,
Superintendent of schools.
A special meal for the class
was also provided by the
