Coach Suzy Holtzclaw’s ladies were scheduled to open their season Tuesday with a non-conference match at Gastonia - Ashbrook. They’ll play six non-loop bouts before opening SWC action at home on October 1 against Burns. Several returning starters from last year’s team, which finished third in the SWC, make this year’s club strong. "KM went on to loss both matches. J.J. Warlick, who qualified for the state tournament last year, also returns and she and McGinnis should form one of the top 1-2 punches anywhere. “With Ashley and J.J. returning with experience, we’ll be in contention,” said Holtzclaw. fe dod. is undefeated in two years of varsity tennis and she and Ashley destroyed their doubles opponents as well.” Other returnees include Paula Morris, Lee Ann Masters, Ashley Champion, Betsy McIntyre and Kim Ware, who are battling freshmen Christy Dixon and THE SCHEDULE SEPTEMBER 1 - at Ashbrook 3 - at E.
