* ENGAGEMENT ANNOUNCED—Mrs. Shilda Pope and Eric
Duncan announce the enagement of their daughter, Erica
Denise Duncan, to Forest Howard Houser. Erica is the grand-
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Winfred Tutherow and the late Mr.
and Mrs. Hazel Duncan. She attended Cherryville Jr./Sr.
High and Gaston College and is employed with Cleveland
Memorial Hospital. Forest is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William
Edward Houser. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Howard
Ford and Dr. Forest Houser and the late Blanche Duey
Houser. He attended Cherryville High School, Gaston College
and Western Carolina University. He is employed by Miller
Surveying of Hickory. The couple plan a December 5 wedding
at First Baptist Church of Cherryville.

daughter, Margaret Paula to Terry Scott Moss. Margaret is a
1983 graduate of Cherryville High School and a 1987 graduate
of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She is
employed by Carolina Freight Carriers Corporation. Terry
Scott is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Billy Moss Sr. of Cher-
ryville. A 1977 graduate of Cherryville High School and a 1981
graduate of Appalachian State University. He is employed by
Carolina Freight Carriers Corp. in Columbia, S.C. An October
24th wedding is planned at the First Methodist Church of
Cherryville.
