Graveside services for Amanda Elizabeth Holt were held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Cleveland Memorial Park with the Rev. Len Byers of- ficiating. The infant daughter of Jef- frey Len and Terri Taylor Holt of Route 1, Grover, died Aug. 26. Also surviving are the great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J.C. McCraw of Shelby. GLENDA C. WELLS Funeral services for Glen- da Costner Wells, 35, of Clover, S.C. who died Friday in the Kings Mountain Hospital, were conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. from Oak View Baptist Church by Rev. John Frazier and Rev. Rob- bie Moore, interment follow- ing in Oak View Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Wells was a native of Kings Mountain and employee of Wix Filters in Gastonia. Surviving are her husband, Frankie Wells; three daughters, Shawna and Gail Bess and Laura Wells, all of Clover; two brothers, Charles Costner of Kings Mountain and Scotty Costner of Widener, Ga., father, Grady Costner of Kings Mountain; stepmother, Katie Costner of Kings Mountain; and two stepbrothers, Scott and Marvin Murry of Kings Mountain. MRS. THELMA M. DeVANE Florence, S.C., Mrs. Thelma Marshall DeVane, 84, wife of James Clyde DeVane, Sr., died Monday morning in Florence nursing center after a long illness. Funeral services were held at 2 P.M. Wednesday in the Stoudenmire Funeral Home Chapel, burial in Mt. Hope - Cemetery. Mrs. DeVane was born in Williamsburg County, S.C., a daughter of the late Charles K. and Eunice Feagin Mar- shall. She was.a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, the George McCown Sunday School Class and the Florentine League. She was a graduate of Saunder’s Memorial School of Nursing. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are two sons; Carl B. DeVane of Kings Mountain, N.C. and William C. DeVane of Florence, three brothers; John P. Marshall, C. Kinsey Marshall and William Marshall all of Florence, three sisters; Mrs. Eunice Sansbury and Mrs. Bessie Joyner both of Charleston and Mrs. Maude Maring of Andrews, 7 grand- children and 1 great grand- child. REV. JAMES E. CRAIG Memorial services for Rev. James Edward Craig, 61, of 3919 Breckridge Circle, Florence, S.C. who died Sept. 5, were conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday from First Presbyterian Church of Florence, graveside services following at 4 p.m. at New Hope Presbyterian Cemtery in Gastonia. Mr. Craig was the husband of former Lola Faye Hardin of Grover. He was a native of Gaston County, son of the late David Carl and Louise Bush Craig and was executive presbyter with the Pee Dee Presbytery. He was a graduate of Bob Jones University and Colum- . bia Theological Seminary and was a former member of the board of trustees at the seminary, trustee for Thorn- well Home for Children in Clinton, S.C. and member of Florence Kiwanis Club. He was ordained in 1951. Survivors include his wife, Lola Faye Hardin Craig; two daughters, Rebecca Hines of Myrtle Beach and Martha Craig of Columbia and one sister, Sue C. Pence of Knox- ville, Tenn. Memorials 1 may be made to Columbia Seminary, Thorn- well Home and School for Children, Clinton, S.C. 29325; or Pee Dee Presbytery for New Church Development, Florence, S.C. 28501. Margrace Fire Cause Not Known Cleveland County fire of- ficials say they have no leads in the fire that destroyed the dye house and slasher room at the old Margrace Mill on Aug. 18 and left damages of about half a million dollars. The mill is owned by Mr. and Mrs. Kelly Bunch. The Cleveland County Ar- son Task Force has been in- vestigating the fire which took more than five hours to bring under control by five fire departments and approx- imately 75 firemen.
