He is a senior majoring in Music and Math Education. Police Urge Motorists To Drive Carefully Ye Christmas holidays and New Year’s holidays come exactly one week from each other and many people use the opportunity to go ‘home for the holidays.’ Drive safely this holiday season, urges Kings Mountain Police and die in traffic accidents over the upcoming Christmas and New Year holiday. The state will count its death toll from 6 p.m. on Wednesday. Each trip places the Crime Of The Week The Cleveland County Sheriff’s Department is seeking assistance from the public concerning the armed robbery which occurred Dec. 9, 1987, about 9:30 p.m. at the Midpines Pantry near Kings Mountain. It was reported that a black male, approximately 6’3” to 6°5”, 200-225 pounds, entered through the front door and demanded that the cash register be opened. The suspect then removed the money and fled the scene on foot. Anyone having information about this crime is eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $1,000.00.
