The loss left the Moun- taineers with a 4-1 overall mark. They host North Gaston Thursday at 7 p.m. “We were flip-flopping, moving people around, and I guess we didn’t do the right thing,” said KMHS Coach Steve Moffitt, whose team defeated Burns in an earlier contest. ‘Burns was fired up and more intense and really wanted the victory.” The Mountaineers, defen- ding SWC champions, won only five of the 13 matches but all of their wins were by pins. The difference in points came in the first scheduled match when the Mounties had to forfeit to Burns’ Shan- non Price in the 103-pound class. ‘All we can hope for now is that someone can knock them off,” Moffitt said. “If so, maybe we can pull back in there and win or share the conference title.” THE RESULTS 103- Shannon Price (B) won by forfeit; 112 - John Turner (KM) pinned Eric Pena se- cond period; 119 - Tony Parker (KM) pinned Kevin Kee third period; 125 - Chris Peeler (B) dec.
