Help You?
No healing art has all the answers
to the many problems of disease
and disability. However, chiro-
practic has been successful in
many cases where medical treat-
ment has failed. That's why the
use of chiropractic is growing.
Chiropractic is now the second
largest health-care profession in
America. Chiropractic does not
utilize potentially dangerous drugs
or surgery. : }

Kings Mountain High's
girls softball team fell to
North Gaston 2-0 in their
opening Southwestern 3-A
Conference game Thursday
at the Macedonia Baptist
Church field.
Coach Bruce Clark takes
his team to South Point
Thursday and the Moun-
tainettes return home Mon-
day to battle R-S Central in a
4:30 game at Macedonia.
Kings Mountain couldn’t
get its bats going in last
week’s loss. The KM girls
managed only five hits. Lisa
Buckner led the way with
2-for-3 and Tina Anderson
was 1-for-2.
“We were very pleased
with our defenive effort but
disappointed with our inabili-
ty to score,” said Clark. ‘Our
practice during the week was
directed toward hitting when
it counted and we had nobody

The Mountainettes played
without the services of three
starters--Carmen Smith, San-
dra Grant and Paula Morris--
who are nursing injuries.
“Having three out of the
lineup effected us mentally
more than I thought it
would,” Clark said. ‘“We
must begin to get some self
confidence. We have the
potential to score but must
realize that and do it.”
Girls Lose 7-5
Monday At East
Kings Mountain High's
girls softball team fell to East
Rutherford 7-5 in
Southwestern 3-A Conference
action Monday in Forest City.
The KM ladies, 0-2 in the
conference and 1-2 overall,
travel to South Point Thurs-
day and host R-S Central
Monday.
Jennifer Boheler, Suzanne
Lee and Robin Watterson
each had two hits and Lee
and Watterson each had an
RBI to lead the KM plate at-
tack.
“Credit has to be given to
East Rutherford for hanging
in there and waiting for us to
break down,” said Coach
Bruce Clark. “We had seven
errors that cost us the
game.”
Clark praised the all-
around play of sophomore
Ashley Champion who has
moved into a starting posi-
tion. ‘She has stepped in and
done a great job and is the
most improved player on the
team,” said Clark. ‘But
something is not right with
the chemistry of this team. I
will take full responsibility
for that up to this point, but
changes will occur from here
on in. Coach (Ronnie)
Funderburke and I will find
10 players who want to play if
we have to go through
another tryout.”
