The wall, a very holy Jewish sight, is where thousands of people gather everyday and put prayers Film Slated At David Baptist Church, Route 2, Box 537, Kings Mountain, will be showing a new motion picture, “His Last Days” at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, June 5. This musical- drama was filmed on location in the Middle East and retraces the steps of Jesus in a refreshing new way. The music and story come alive on the screen in the por- ~ trayal of Jesus as He walked in written on paper into the cracks of the wall. Bible School At Temple Baptist Vacation Bible School will be held June 6-10 at Temple Baptist Church, 612 North Cansler Street, Kings Mountain. Hours are 6:30-8:30 p.m. each evening and classes will be held for ages pre-school through youth. Mrs. Kim Ramey is director. PTL Center Needs Donations The People That Love Center on Piedmont Avenue is in need of funds and merchandise to serve the needy people of the Kings Mountain area. YARD SALE The Keenagers of Kings Moun- tain Baptist Church will sponsor a yard and bake sale Saturday beginning at 7:30 a.m. at the church at 101 West Mountain Street. At 10 a.m., the church youth will begin selling hotdogs. The public is invited. MASS FOR SINGLES There will be a liturgy ‘Under The Trees’ for single adults at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, June 9, at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 8451 Idlewild Rd., Charlotte. The mass, followed by a covered dish picnic, culminates the first year of the singles educational ministry at St. John Neumann and all singles are invited. Featured groups are Eternal Love Quartet of Blacksburg and Homeward Bound Quartet of Hickory. The public is invited. Dr. Sarah H. Sinal Promoted WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.---Dr. Sara H. Sinal, formerly of Kings Mountain, has been promoted to associate professor of prediatrics and family medicine at the Bowan Gray School of Medicine of Wake Forest Univer- sity. Ser promotion, effective July 1, was announded by Dr. Richard Janeway, vice president for health affairs and executive dean of the medical school. Dr. Sinal is the daughter of HABITAT MEETING The Habitat For Humanity in Cleveland County will meet at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Shiloh Bap- tist Church on Frederick Street in Shelby. The group will discuss its upcoming building project. Habitat volunteers and others in- terested in learning more about the project are invited. While at the Valley of Eilat, everyone in the group picked up some little rounded stones, Faust said. ‘Our tour guide kept telling everyone, ‘you have the one he used (to kill Goliath’),”” Faust said. ; After touring a modern day battle sight from the 1948 war, the group went to Ashkelon where Samson pulled the walls of ‘the temple down. The next day was a free day spent touring Jerusalem and the Garden Tomb once again. The group left for North Carolina the next day. !
