Burns is waiting on the winner of the Bill Sellers-Gerald Put- nam match. They are to play Sellers defeated Fred Sisk and Jim Champion to advance to the semi-finals against Putna, who won earlier matches over Rick Moore and Jerry Broadwell. Broadwell defeated Carol Led- ford in the first round before fall- ing to Broadwell and Champion won a first round match over Brett Leigh before losing to Sellers. Weitzner defeated Jerry Ross in the first round before forfeiting to Burns. The next major tournament at KMCC is the Men’s Club Cham- pionship September 3-5. Saturday with the winner challenging Burns for the cham- pionship on Sunday. Burns defeated Stoney Jackson in the first round and won a forfeit victory over Howard Weitzner in the second round.
