The Rev. Frank Petrucelli, un- cle of the bride, officiated at the double ring ceremony. Vera Bedsole was pianist and Jerry Bedsole was vocalist for the program of wedding music. Barry Dellinger escorted his stepdaughter to the altar and gave her in marriage. The bride’s wedding gown was a for- mal design of white satin and lace with puff sleeves ending with lace and a bow and ruffle at her back of the skirt. Her finger- tip veil of illusion was attached to a lace and sequinned headpiece. She carried a bouquet of white roses, daisies, and small dusty roses. Dana Dellinger attended the bride as maid of honor and bridesmaids were Terry Galloway and Selena Short, both of Kings Mountain. Amanda Col- lins was flower girl and Rusty Reynolds was ringbearer. The attendants wore dusty rose formals and carried bouquets of baby’s breath and greenery. George Smith Jr. of Dallas was best man for the bridegroom. Groomsmen were Ricky Good- win of Dallas and Kenneth McAteer of Lancaster, S.C. The bride’s mother and step- father, Barry and Dianne Dell- inger, hosted the reception after the ceremony in the church fellowship hall. The sanctuary was decorated with a brass archway overlaid with dusty rose colored roses, ivy MRS. RICKY DAVID HOWARD SMITH (Myra Le Anne Latham) Sing-In Scheduled In Shelby Cleveland County’s first Handel's Messiah Sing-In will be held November 20 at 2:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Shelby. This event is sponsored by the Cecilia Music Club. A hearty welcome is extended to everyone to attend and participate. There is no registration or admission charge. Elizabeth Minus is the conduc- tor for the Sing-In. She is a music graduate of Columbia College and UNC-Chapel Hill. She has taken advanced studies at Westminster Choir College and sung in the Robert Shaw Workshop. The accompaniment will be played by Libby Alexander, organ, and Helen Gilliatt, harp- sichord. Singing the arias and recitatives will be: Linda Dixon, Susan Coiner and Dana Jenkins, sopranoes; Ann Goss, messosoprano; Tom Mauney, tenlr; and Andrew Champion, bass. j There will be an optional sec- tional rehearsal on Saturday, November 19 at 2:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church for those who would like to refresh their memory or learn their parts bet- ter. The Messiah Sing-In is a con- cert in which everyone sings. The G. Sing-Ins or Sing-Alongs have been a regular musical event in many cities across America, and while this is the first one in this county, the Cecilia Music Club will consider making it a regular event. It’s taken four moves!’ The Messiah Sing-In will have the dignity of a concert and the meaning of a worship service. The chorus will warm-up at 2:30 p.m. and the public event will be from 3 p.m. until around 4:15 p.m. ~ Chamber Of Commerce’ Selling Yule Wreaths The Kings Mountain Chamber of Commerce will be ordering Christmas wreaths for mer- chants to put on their doors for the Christmas parade. Anyone wanting to order a wreath should call Lucille Williams at the chamber office (739-4755) by Mon., Nov. 21. The wreaths will be delivered during the week of December 5. Two seven branch candelabra holding white tapers enhanced the setting and in each window was a candle with greenery and ribbons. The bride’s mother and step- father hosted the reception in the church fellowship hall which car- ried out the dusty rose and white theme of the wedding. White and dusty roses centered the bride’s table which was overlaid with lace over white. Dusty pink ribbons and dusty rose floral arrangements were used throughout the fellowship hall. The pink and white wedding cake was served with punch and party pickups. Mr. and Mrs. Barry Dellinger of Kings Mountain are parents of the bride who is a 1986 graduate of Kings Mountain Senior High School and is employed by Kings Mountain Police Department. The bride is the granddaughter of Helen Henson and the late James Henson and Christine Latham of York, S.C. and the late J.M. Latham. The bridegroom is the son of Jake and Shirley Underwood of Charlotte and grandson of Mr. ‘and Mrs. William Beaver of Dallas. He is a 1987 graduate of Independence High School in Charlotte and is employed by Firestone Textiles in Gastonia. Debbie W. Crocker of Kings Mountain directed the wedding. After a wedding trip to the mountains of western North Carolina the newlyweds will be at home at No. 15 Georgetown Apartments in Kings Mountain. Legion Auxiliary To Meet Thursday Mrs. Lisa Neisler, Spanish teacher in the Kings Mountain District Schools, will present the program at Thursday night’s meeting of the American Legion Auxiliary. The Auxiliary meets at 7:30 p.m. at the American Legion Building. Co-hostesses will be Mrs. Ruth Gamble, Mrs. Annis Babb and Mrs. Mallie Parker. Mrs. Parker is program chairman. The program is a feature of the group’s participation in American Education Week ac- tivities. President Myrtle Christenson said the public is invited.
