Annual Kings Mountain District Schools Bands’
Christmas Concert Held Thursday At Barnes Auditorium
The Kings Mountain District Schools bands
presented their annual Christmas concert Thursday
night at B.N. Barnes Auditorium on the campus of
Kings Mountain High School.
Band directors Chris and Sarah Cole, assisted by
student teacher Mark Black, directed the junior
high eighth and ninth grade bands and the senior
high Blazer Band in traditional Christmas music.
The Blazer Band also performed some of the grade
six material that will play in upcoming band clinics.
Black, whose last day as a student teacher in
Kings Mountain was Thursday, performed a special
saxophone solo. Also featured in the Blazer Band
were David DiSabato, alto saxophone; Sharon
Horton, tenor saxophone; and Jamie Grigg,
baritone saxophone.
