CHARLES KENNETH BRIDGES Lee Ann Wilson Wilson-Bridges Couple Wed At St. Matthew's Lutheran Mr. and Mrs. Charles Kenneth Bridges, who were wed Saturday, are on a wedding trip to the . Western North Carolina mountains and afterwards will be at home at Lake Montonia. Miss Lee Ann Wilson became Mr. Bridges’ bride in a 3 p.m. cere- mony in St. Matthew's Lutheran Church. Rev. Harwood T. Smith Jr. and ‘Rev. Edgar Mauney Cooper offici- ated at the double-ring candlelight ceremony. Rev. Cooper is great un- cle of the bride. Robert Lee Wilson escorted his daughter to the altar and gave her in marriage. The bride's wedding gown was a formal design of can- dlelight ivory and duchess satin de- signed along empress lines with court train. The dress was her grandmother's wedding dress and was trimmed with lace from the bride's great-grandmother's wed- ding dress. Satin covered buttons extended from the bodice to the bottom of the skirt in front. The veil was of triple tiers of lace. She carried a bouquet of calla lilies and baby's breath. Lori Angelia Davis of Charlotte attended the bride as maid of honor and bridesmaids were Kamie Primm Wiggins of Kings Mountain and Carla Jill Bridges of Kings Mountain, sister of the bridegroom, Junior bridesmaid was Sarah Helen Cooper of Hastings On Hudson, New York. All the attendants wore tea length formals of amethyst satin designed with deep V backs with bows at the dropped waist and round necklines with puff sleeves. They carried bouquets of lavender, purple and deep pink spring flow- ers. Carl Adam Bridges of Kings Mountain was his son's best man. Ushers were Jim Tate, Dean Fleming, Robert Wilson, brother of the bride, all of KIngs Mountain, Gary Leonhart of Greenville and Jacob Cooper of Hastings On Hudson, New YOrk. The bride's parents, assisted by the bride's grandmother, Mrs. George Scharf, hosted the beauti- fully appointed wedding reception in the church fellowship hall after the ceremony. The bridegroom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner on Friday evening at Western Sizzlin, Gastonia. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lee Wilson of Kings Mountain are parents of the bride who is attending Cleveland Community College ma- joring in Business and Accounting and will graduate in spring. She is a member of Gamma Betta Phi Turn To Page 2-C Kings Mountain Baptist Church was the setting Sunday, Feb. 26 for the wedding of Norma Ellen Davis and Barry Dale Moose. The couple pledged vows of the double-ring ceremony at 3 p.m. before Rev. Robert J. Collins. William McSwain was organist, Richard D. Harwell was pianist and Jenny Milstead was soloist for the program of traditional music. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a peasant gown of white bridal satin enhanced with Victorian lace and accented with pearls and sequins. The fitted bodice featured a bow to which was attached a satin train encircled by lace. Her fingertip veil of illu- sion was attached to a camelot cap and she carried a bouquet of white lilies surrounded by red roses. Beverly Bradshaw of Morganton was the bride's maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Leslie LeCroy ‘and Nicole Brooks of Kings Mountain, nieces of the bride, Tamatha Givens of Clover, S.C., niece of the bridegroom, and Miss Tanya Chapman of Charlotte. Junior bridesmaid was Jamie Sellers of Kings Mountain. All the attendants wore black and white satin tea length gowns accented with a white bow featured at the waistline. They carried bou- quets of white lilies and red roses. Scott Moose of Gastonia was his brother's best man. Groomsmen were Tim Givens of Shelby, nephew of the bridegroom; Jason Davis of Kings Mountain, brother of the bride; Kevin Coffey of Harmony, cousin of the bride, MRS. BARRY DALE MOOSE Davis-Moose Couple Speak Vows At KM Baptist Church ship hall on Feb. 25. and Jamie and Chuckie Canipe of Kings Mountain, nephews of the bride. Lori White of Kings Mountain presided at the register. A reception was held after the ceremony in the church fellowship hall and hosted by the bride's sis- ters, Mrs. Rebecca Greene and Mrs. Jean Toney, assisted by Mrs. Sharon Givens, of Shelby, niece of the bridegroom. The all-white wed- ding cake was topped with swan- shaped bells and was cut and served from a red and white deco- rated bride's table. Punch and party refreshments were also served from silver appointments. Kings Mountain will be home for the newlyweds after their return from a trip to London, England. Norman and Mary Ellen Davis of Kings Mountain are parents of the bride who is a 1984 graduate of .. Kings Mountain Senior High School. She received her Associate of Arts in Accounting from Gaston College and her B. S. in Business Admission at Gardner Webb College. She is employed as a cashier-accountant at Home Federal Savings & Loan Association. The bridegroom is the son of Mrs. Lillie Sosebee Moose of Gastonia and the late Hubert Boyce Moose. He attended Gaston College and is employed at Commercial Intertech in Kings Mountain. The bridegroom's family hosted the rehearsal dinner at Kings Mountain Baptist Church fellow- SANDRA LEE COBB MRS. LOYD BAXTER SMITH (Robin Harry) Baxters Married On Saturday At Shelby Presbyterian Church Shelby Presbyterian Church was the setting Saturday for the wed- ding of Robin Lynn Harry and Loyd Baxter Smith Jr. The Rev. Fred Rose and Rev. Susan Allred, aunt of the bride, of- ficiated at the double-ring candle- light 6 p.m. ceremony. Michael Arrowood of Raleigh was organist for the program of nuptial music and trumpeter was Christopher Cole of Kings Mountain. The bride was given in marriage by her parents and wore a formal gown of white satin and lace de- signed with high neckline with in- sert of illusion and long tapered sleeves with pouf shoulders. Lace and sequins were emphasized on the bodice. The full veil fell from a tulle cap and she carried a bridal bouquet of white flowers. Miss May Johnston of Charlotte attended the pride as maid of honor and bridesmaids were Mary Weeks Fountain, Page Moser, and Suzy Robinson, all of Charlotte, Wendy Pharr of Winston Salem and Kim Smith of Shelby, sister of the bride- groom. Beth Ellis and Ann Beam presid- ed at the register. The bridegroom's father was best man. Groomsmen were David Beam, Scott Harry, brother of the bride, Scott Smith and Seth Smith, brothers of the bride, and Todd Newton, all of Shelby, Jay Madden of Greenville, S.C., Linwood White of Wilson, Jay Parker of Hillsborough and Vance Young of Wilmington. Cleveland Springs Country Club was setting for the reception hosted by the bride's parents after the cer- emony. He received his B. S. degree from Lenoir Rhyne College with B. S. in Biology and was a member of Pi Kappa Phi fraternity. The wedding will take place June 3. KAREN MICHELLE LOY ENGAGEMENT ANNOUNCED-Mrs. Milton Loy of Crouse an- nounces the engagement of her daughter, Karen Michelle, to Chad Dennis Bingham, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack D. Bingham of Cherryville. The bride- elect, also daughter of the late Milton Loy, is a graduate of Cherryville High School and attended Gaston College. She was presented at the Shelby Junior Charity League 1984 Debutante Ball. She is employed by Southern National Bank in Cherryville.
