Billy Graham Film To Be Shown At Oak Grove Baptist
CAUGHT, the newest film from
Billy Graham's World Wide
Pictures, will be shown on Sunday,
August 13 at 6 p.m., at Oak Grove
Baptist Church, Kings Mountain.
The true-to-life dramatic story por-
trays the power of one person car-
ing for another.
An 18 year old American, Tim
Devon, goes to Amsterdam in
search of the father he has never
known. His mother reluctantly ad-
mits he was born illegitimately out
of a college romance between her
and a Dutch exchange student.
In this city, far from his home,
he slips into the self-destructive
drug culture, but is encountered by
a single, caring person—a person
of deep faith. The person, Rajam
Prasad, found a way to share
Christ's message of love, hope and
forgiveness in a way that Tim
could not ignore.
Vast audiences who have wit-
nessed the film's premier in movie
theatres around the world have
been gripped by its central focus
on their friendship which was
The Singing Pfeifers
The Pfeifer story is unfolded in a
book titled "Tragedy Brings
Triumph." It is written by Don
Pfeifer who is the father of some of
the members of the group.
It is a story involving a fatal car
crash which took the life of a
young minister's son. It is a story
of loss of other close family mem-
bers and involves the struggles of
the children to adapt to strict reli-
gious ideals handed down by their
father's and grandfather's ministry,
all of which have led the family to
dedicate themselves to singing the
praises of the Lord.
This group is based in
Washington Court House, Ohio.
The seven members are John
Pfeifer on vocals and trumpet;
Candy Pfeifer, who does vocals
and plays bass guitar, alto sax and
mandolin; Mary Jane Carter, vocals
and tenor sax; Kathy Lawson, vo-
cals, harmonica, banjo, mandolin,
electric and acoustic guitar, all of
which may account for her being
dubbed "The Barbara Mandrell of
Gospel Music"; Teresa Hurt, vocals
and keyboard; Todd Kritzwiser, vo-
cals, trombone and bass guitar; and
Rob Collins, drums.
The group travels full-time in a
silver eagle bus. It has 13 albums,
including the latest "Blood
Bought," from which their newest
single, "Blood Bought Church" is
taken. According to John Pfeifer,
"it's high energy, compared to ev-
erything else we've done."
forged out of danger and despera-
tion.
Deeply moved by the warmth of
the film with its many moments of
humor, Billy Graham, said
"CAUGHT is certainly the most
outstanding film yet produced by
World WIde Pictures.
CAUGHT rings a challenge to
us all; in reality, one caring person
can have an immeasurable impact
on the life of another lonely, disil-
lusioned, desperate person. The
public is invited to attend.

Leaking gutters and downspouts really are no joke. They
are not only unattractive and inefficient but can spoil the looks
of your home because of streaking and discoloration. Reynolds
Aluminum gutters, downspouts, soffit (the underside of eaves)
and fascia (the trim material on roof edge) offer these advan-
tages over ordinary systems.
