Grover Leases Fire Station Grover Town Board Monday night leased the present fire depart- ment and os department to Grover Rural Fire Department for 99 years. | The lease, also signed by Cleveland County Commissioners, includes the land and a 1973 Ford fire truck. Under the arrangement, the town agrees to pay $7500 a year for three years for fire protection and .381 cents per $100 taxable valua- tion each year, thereafter. The fire department paid up the $1 a year lease cost for duration of contract. Fire Chief Joe Boheler and Assistant Chief Gary Dowda open house will be held about a year from now in the fire depart- ment which is expected to be ex- panded. "We're looking forward to a good relationship for the next 99 years," said Mayor Bill McCarter. The mayor said the town will take any of its supplies out of the fire department within 30 days.
