The selections were based on an individual audition held at South Point High School Saturday. Two hundred and fifty students were se- lected from over 400 trying out. The students will participate in a two-day clinic January 26-27 in Albemarle. A junior high and se- nior high honors band, and a sym- phonic band will work for two days and present a public concert on Saturday evening. Smith, senior at Kings Mountain High School, has been selected as a new member of Outstanding High School Students of America because of outstanding merit and accomplishments as a high school student.
