Second Kings Mountain High's swim- mers finished second to Salisbury in a three-team meet Wednesday at Neisler Natatorium. The Salisbury boys compiled 74 points to 50 for KM and 24 for Chase. The Salisbury girls edged KM 59-54, with Chase coming in third with 35 points. Aaron Allen won two first places for the KM boys. He won the 200 yard individual medley in 2:23.56 and the 100 yard free style in 56.53. John Jones also won a first place for KM, taking the 100 yard breast stroke in 1:14.27. Kings Mountain's 200 yard med- ley relay won in 2:03.04. Members of the team were Benji Davis, Jones, Allen and Todd Bell. Davis won second places in the 200-free style in 2:21.66 and the 100 yard back stroke in 1:09.20. David Stout of the Mountaineers was second in the 100 yard breast stroke in 1:19.89. Finishing third for KM were Stout in the 200 yard free style and Bell in the 100 yard free style. Paula Eckard won a pair of first places for the KM girls. She swan the 200 yard individual medley in 2:37.95 and the 100 yard free style in 1:03.63. She also joined with Gail Hardin, Sarah Mayse and Emily Campbell to win the 200 yard medley relay in 2:227. Kings Mountain picked up five second places. Mayse was second in the 200 yard free style in 2:19.42 and the 100 yard breast stroke in 1:21.37; Hardin was sec- ond in the 100 yard back stroke in 1:25.37 and the 50 yard free style in 32.06; and Campbell was second in the 100 yard free style in 1:14.10. Campbell was third in the 100 yard breast stroke in 1:28.70 and Lisa Droz was third in the 100 yard back stroke in 1:38.35. The Kings Mountain swimmers were scheduled to host the annual Southwestern 3-A Conference meet yesterday.
