Henson has a 1.40 ERA and 59 strikeouts for the Red Raiders, who are 4-6 overall. He is the only re- turning pitcher from last year's team which won the Southwestern 3-A Conference title. "He's been a tough luck pitcher to some degree this year, but he's been consistent,” Coach Lineberger said. "He lost a tough 4-2 game in nine innings at home to North Gaston Friday despite giving up just three hits." Henson plays first base and pitcher for the Red Raiders and Belmont legion team but will be strictly a pitcher with the 49ers. "Mickey has a good fast ball, a good curve and a good change-up," Lineberger said. "He's been mixing his pitches well this year.
