Page 2A-THE KINGS MOUNTAIN HERALD-Thursday, June 14, 1990 Obituaries 77-Year-Old Biker Killed In Accident A T7-year-old Cherryville man was killed Thursday afternoon when the bicycle he was riding was struck by a truck. James E. Brittain, of 701 Delview Road, was riding along N. C. 216 near Wells Street, just out- side the city limits, at about 12:08 p.m. when he was struck by a 1986 Chevrolet truck driven by Sandra Lee Boyd, 27, of Grover. Both the truck and the bicycle were headed south. Brittain died at Kings Mountain Hospital. No charges have been filed. A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Cain and Sally Costner Brittain. He was former owner of J. E. AN PRESSLEY Funeral services for Norman H. Pressley, 50 of 204 McGill Court, who died June 8, 1990 at home, were conducted Wednesday at 4 p.m. at daint Paul's United Methodist Church, interment fol- lowing in Mountain Rest Cemetery. Pressley, a Cleveland County na- tive, was son of the late Samuel Pressley. Surviving are his mother, Ioma Guyton McClain; sons, Norman Pressley Jr., of Bessemer City, Keith Pressley, Curtis Pressley, Shawn Pressley; daughters, Mrs. Jacqueline McClain of Gastonia, Mrs. Sonya Roseboro, Miss Mary Pressley; sisters, Mrs. Sara Miller of New York, Miss Deloris Pressley of Ann Arbor, Michigan; Miss Grace Pressley of California; brothers, Samuel Pressley, Kenneth Pressley, both of Philadelphia, and four grandchildren. NEAL Funeral services for Ethel Conner Neal, 83, of Bessemer City, who died June 5, 1990 at Kings Mountain Hospital, were conduct- ed Thursday at 2 p.m. at Bright Light Baptist Church by Revs. Wayne Blanton, R. W. White and Steve Wilkins, interment following in Mountain Rest Cemetery. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Florence Morrison Conner. She retired from Firestone Textiles. Surviving are her husband, James H. Neal; a son, Norman Neal of Bessemer City; two daugh- ters, Earline Ashe of Greenville, S. C. and Mary Fraley of Bessemer City ; five brothers. Fred Conner of Kings Mountain, Gene Conner of Grover, Clyde Conner of Belmont, e Blackened Ribeye ¢ Prime Rib e Chicken e Fresh Seafood Sanitation Co. in Cherryville and a member of Foursquare Church. Surviving are his wife, Annie Mae Perry Brittain; seven sons, James E. Brittain Jr. of Cherryville, Paul, David, Mack, Randy and Joey Brittain, all of Cherryville and Bob Brittain of Shelby; three daughters, LaRue Boston of Cherryville, Fonda Jenkins of Greer, S. C. and Monte Leonhardt of Crouse; three brothers, Carmie and Robert Brittian of Cherryville and John Brittain of Kingscreek, S.C.; three sisters, Annie Mae Mellon, Emma Lou Martin and Mary Sue McSwain of Cherryville; 24 grandchildren; and 11 great- grandchildren. Johnny Conner of Wilmington and Bill Conner of Greenville; four sis- ters, Bertha Blalock and Eunice Lovelace of Kings Mountain, Betty Bolin of Grover, and Bonnie Collins of Blacksburg, S.C.; 16 grandchildren; and 22 great-grand- children. CHARLES O. BOLIN GROVER - Charles Oats Bolin, 60, of 1110 Long Branch Road died June 9, 1990 at 8:50 p.m. at his home. A Cleveland County native, he was the son of the late Ervin and Nannie Bell Wray Bolin and was a yarn handler at Minette Mills. He was a member of Shiloh Presbyterian Church. He is survived by three daugh- ters, Kay Logan of Antioch and Susan Black and Faye Bolin, both of Grover; four brothers, J.D. Bolin, Carl Bolin, Dock Bolin and Robert Bolin, all of Grover; two sisters, Janette Robinson of Grover and Della Henderson of Lancaster, S.C.; and two grandchildren. The funeral was conducted Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Harris Chapel in Kings Mountain by the Rev. Harold Hutchison. Burial was in Grover Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Cleveland County, 201 West Marion Street, Shelby, 28150. CHARLES WILSON Funeral services for Charles Herman Wilson, 73, of Sparrow Springs Road, who died June 10, 1990 at Kings Mountain Hospital, were conducted Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home in Bessemer City with Revs. Roy Clark and Danny Jordan officiat- ing. Burial was in Westview Gardens. Wilson, a retired textile employ- ee, was a Cleveland County native, son of the late Arthur and Bessie Smith Wilson. He was widower of Vida Barnette Wilson. He was a member of Gainesville Baptist Church in Lincolnton. He was a World War II Army veteran.
