Funeral services for Horace
(Sonny) Moore, 37, of 440
Margrace Road, who died June 16,
1990 as a result of a motorcycle ac-
cident, will be conducted Thursday
at 4 p.m. at Mount Olive Baptist
Church of which he was a member.
Rev. Willie Maddox will offici-
ate, and interment will be in the
church cemetery.
He was the son of the late Sam
Moore and Alice Davis Moore.
Surviving are his wife, Gail;
daughters, Tanyell Moore,
Constance Brooks, Rebecca
Brooks, all of the home; Tikaya
Moore, Shannon Moore, both of
Burlington, N. J., son, James
Brooks of the home; sisters, Mrs.

A native of White County, Ga.,
he was the son of the late Frank
Houston and Mellie Lucinda Black
Tomlin and was married to the late
Essie Royster Tomlin.
Surviving are two sons, Clarence
Tomlin of Kings Mountain and
Junior Tomlin of Charlotte; daugh-
ters, Mildred Rose and Margie
Slayton, both of Kings Mountain,
and Helen Bell of Shelby; brother,
Dewey Tomlin of Spartanburg, S.
C.; sisters Pearline Dills of Forest
City and Viola Turner of
Greenville, S.C.; 16 grandchildren
and 14 great-grandchildren.

A native of Cleveland County,
she was the daughter of the late:

In USAF: Exercise
M/Sgt. Charles O. McClain re-
cently participyated in the Strategic
Air Commarid exercise, "Global
Shield "90."
The exercise tested the readiness
of SAC units; around the world, as
well as Air J7orce Reserve and Air
National Girard units, to carry out
orders which support the United
States natinal policy.
McClain is a sheet metal shop
foreman with the 384th Civil
Engineering Squadron. at
McConriell Air Force Base,
Kansas.
He is the son of Andrew J. and
Darcus, McClain of Kings
Mountz in.
His wife, Air Force Sgt. Pearl
McClain, is the daughter of Pearlis
Nelsora and Inez Joplin , both of
St. L.o)uis.
