Sellers-Ramsey Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Jay Ramsey, who were wed Sept. 22, have re- turned from a wedding trip to Florida and are residing at 120 McGinnis Drive in Grover. The bride's traditional gown of ite satin featured a V neck- line complementing long sleeves that came to a point over the hand ac- cented with Schiffli lace leading to a V back with delicate pearl buttons. A full skirt swept from a Basque waist to a cathedral length train with magnificent display of imported lace in the pyramid at the front skirt and the scattered appliques over the train flowing to an elegant border of scalloped lace edged all around. She carried a bouquet of pink and white roses, ivy and baby's breath. Mrs. Sherri S. Fort of Owensboro, Ky. was her sister's matron of hon- or. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Paula McPherson, Miss Angela Lyon, Miss Debbie Hawkins, Miss Dana Blalock, Miss Anissa Jones and Ms. Gina Stone, all of Kings Mountain. Tara Fort, niece of the bride, was flower girl; Master Zack Meek of Smyma, S. C. was ringbearer and Master Nathan Fort, nephew of the | bride, carried the Bible. The bridal attendants wore crystal teal satin formals featuring a bateau | | neckline enhancing long sleeves that came to a point over the hand. The | fitted bodice complimented a diamond key -hole back further enhanced by a butterfly bow. The full satin skirts tapered to T-length for a delicate silhouette. They carried arm bouquets of teal green and white flowers. Best man was the bride's brother, Donz d Sellers Jr. of Kings Mountain. Present as special guests were Mrs. Freda Sellers, mother of the bride-elect, Mrs. Renee Byars, mother of the bridegroom-to-be, and Mrs. Alma Sellers, grandmoth- er of the bride-elect. Guests enjoyed punch, nuts, cake squares, vegetable sandwich- es and chicken salad tarts from a refreshment table decorated in pink, green and white. Mrs. Beverly Tignor, cousin of the bridegroom, assisted by Mrs. Cindy Meek, cousin of the bride- groom-to-be, hosted a miscella- neous shower at the Tignor home Aug. 19. Guests called between 2 and 4 p.m. Mrs. Freda Sellers, mother of the bride-elect, and Mrs. Renee Byars, mother of the bridegroom-to-be, were special guests. Miss Sellers was presented a white carnation corsage. Punch was served with veg- etable trays, nuts, and sandwiches from a decorated refreshment table. Members of the bridal party hosted a miscellaneous shower Sept. 4 at the home of the bride-elect. Entertaining together were Miss Angela Lyon, Mrs. Paula McPherson, Miss Anissa Jones, Miss Dana Blalock, Miss Debbie Hawkins, Miss Gina Stone and Mrs. Laura Lail.
