It Was A Yellow Balloon
In Travis Wats
Ten-year-old Travis Watson no-
ticed something yellow in the tree
when his family returned home
Sunday from worship services at
Vestibule A.M.E. Zion Church.
He climbed the tree to find a bal-
loon which had been released by
Ashley Davis, 609 Pleasant Place,
Spartanburg, S.C.
A note written in magic marker
on the outside of the balloon asked
the finder to write Ms. Davis.
"I plan to write her this weekend
and send her a picture of myself,"
said Travis, a fifth grade student at
KM's East School. He hopes to
learn why the balloon was re-
leased.
Travis, who is an A student and
plays quarterback for the local ju-
nior pee wee football team, is the
son of Mr. and Mrs. Jewel Watson
of 100 McGill Road.
