JESTON D. GREENE JOHNSON CITY, TN. - Jeston David "J.D." Greene, 67, of Route 8, 110 Woodland Road, died Mon., Oct. 15, 1990 at Johnson City Medical Center Hospital following a lengthy illness. A native of Bakersville, N.C., he was the son of the late Benjamin H. and Rebecca Yelton Greene. He had lived in Johnson City for the past 42 years, He was employed for 32 years as a photographer and a reporter with the Johnson City Press, serv- ing as the newspaper's bureau chief in Jonesborough and Elizabethton. After retirement, he worked with his sons in the motion picture in- dustry. He was a founding member of Shenandoah Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Margaret Arrowood Greene; three sons, David Greene and Darryl Lee Greene, both of Nashville, Tn.; and Gary M. Greene, former owner of the Kings Mountain Herald and now living in Charlottesville, Va.; one sister, Emily Pritty Greene of San Diego; one stepbrother, Roy Robertson of Jonesboro; one step- sister, Bernice Lewis of Michigan; seven grandchildren; two nephews; and one niece. ESTELLE S. ROSS Estelle Street Ross, 67, of 409 Scotland Drive, Kings Mountain, died October 22, 1990 at Kings Mountain Convalescent Center. A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Eva Hardin Street and wife of the late Thomas Eugene Ross. She was a retired textile worker and a member of Piedmont Baptist Church. She is survived by two sons, Pete Ross and Terry Ross of Kings Mountain; two daughters, Wilma Timms and Jean Connor of Kings Mountain; one brother, Clarence Street of Ranlo; two sisters, Wilma Guffey of Mooresville and Etrulia Sisk of Forest City; 11 grandchil- dren; and five great-grandchildren, The funeral will be conducted Thursday at 3 p.m. at Piedmont Baptist Church. LUCY SUTTLES Lucy Frizzell Suttles, 50, of 119 Center Street, Kings Mountain, died October 22, 1990 at Kings Mountain Hospital. A native of Waynesville, she was the daughter of Carrie Mills Frizzell of Waynesville and the late Jack Frizzell. She was married to the late Daniel Stewart Suttles. She was a housewife and a member of Eastside Baptist Church in Dade City, Fla. In addition to her mother, she is survived by one son, Roger Suttles of Kings Mountain; three brothers, Silas Frizzell of Waynesville, Paul Frizzell of Kings Mountain and Edgar Frizzell of Gastonia; and four sisters, Betty Conard, Bobbie Lee Arrowood and Margaret Hagan, all of Weaverville, and Nellie Conard of Gastonia. The funeral was conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Harris Chapel by Rev. Billy Barron and Rev. Wayne Carson. Burial was at Maple Grove Methodist Church cemetery in Waynesville. MAY DIGMA May Agness Ingram Digma, 88. of 400 East Ridge Street, Kings Mountain, died October 16, 1990 at Kings Mountain Hospital. A native of Pitcairn, Pa., she was the daughter of the late William W. and Anna Potter Ingram. She was married to the late Frederick C. Ruffner and the late Pete Digma. She was a retired farm hand and nursery worker and was a member of the. Methodist Church in Sumner, Wash. She is survived by one son, Cornealous C. Ruffner of Huntingdon, Pa.; one daughter, Mrs. Violet Black of Kings Mountain; eight grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. The funeral and burial were in Sumner, Washington. T.A. CHAMPION JR. ORLANDO, Fla. -. T.A. Champion Jr., 66, of 3789 Laguna Drive, died October 17, 1990 at his home. A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late T.A. and Bessie Reynolds Champion Sr. He was employed by Construction Supplies and Specialties Co. of Orlando, was a member of Delaney Street Baptist Church in Orlando, and was a Mason. He is survived by his wife, Lillian Falls Champion; one son, Michael Champion of Orlando, Fla.; one daughter, Gwendolyn Davis of Sanford, Fla.; four broth- ers, Howard Champion and Floyd Champion of Kings Mountain, Carl E. Champion of Shelby and J.D. Champion of Wilmington; two sis- ters, Gertrude Porter of Shelby and Sarah Lovelace of Kings Mountain; and six grandchildren. She is survived by one son, Earl Maddox of Kings Mountain; three daughters, Gail Brown and Diddy Yarboro of Kings Mountain and Joann Conard of Crammerton; nine grandchildren; and six great-grand- children.
