Neisler, Police Chief Warren Goiorth and several other people from Kings Mountain will participate in the fourth annual Womanless Beauty pageant Mon., Oct. 29 at 7:30 p.m. at Malcolm Brown Auditorium in Shelby. Admission is $3 and children under age six will be admit- ted free. All proceeds will go to the Cleveland-Rutherford Kidney Association. Jaycees Conduct Clothing Drive The Cleveland County Jaycees are conducting their first annual clothing drive to benefit those in need of winter clothing. Much needed items such as coats, sweaters, gloves, scarves and to- boggans for children and adults are needed. Donations can be made at the Kings Mountain Baptist Association or the Jaycees will pick up donations at homes and churches. For pick up, call Angela Barrett at 739-8991 or Scott Heath at 481-0678. Donation pick ups will be made November 10 between 9 a.m. and noon. Haunted House Set At Eastridge Mall The Gastonia Jaycees are spon- soring their Junior Chamber of Horrors III Haunted House October 19-31 at the Eastridge Mall. The haunting starts at 7 p.m. and continues until 10 p.m. weeknights and until 11 p.m. week- ends and Halloween. Admission is $3. The Jaycees promise safe, clean fun for ages six and up. YAP volunteer Bradine Tyner and her youth, Dusty, received cer- tificates of friendship for complet- ing an average of four hours per week for one year in YAP. Board chairman Trip Boinset and board member David Teddy presented the certificates. YAP recruits, screens, trains and monitors adult one-on-one volun- teers to be matched with a youth who has been referred by Juvenile Court, law enforcement personnel or other child oriented agencies.
