gi U.S. MILITARY ACADEMY NOMINEE-U. S. Congressman Cass Ballenger congratulates Mathew Frederick Bunch, son of Dianne and Philip Bunch, of 320 Somerset Drive, on his nomination to the U. S. Military Academy for the class entering in July 1991. Bunch, KMHS senior, is one of 16 students from the 10th Congressional District nominated to attend U. S. service academies. Ballenger presented Bunch a special certificate of recognition at his Hickory congressional office recently. NICHOLAS PRICE Nicholas Price celebrates Second birthday April 1 Nicholas Price celebrated his second birthday April 1. A children's party was given at the home of Mrs. Kay Taylor and a family celebration and cookout was held at the Rice home on Moss Lake. He is the son of Dennis and Dawn Hambright Rice of Shelby and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Pollock of Grover, Mrs. Kathleen Price of Cherryville and Mr. and Mrs. David Price of ; Garden City, S.C. He is the great- grandson of Mrs. Elma Wylie of Blacksburg, S. C. Theater production April 18-21 Kings Mountain Little ‘I'heater will present "Toward Zero", a Agatha Christie murder mystery, April 18-21 at Park Grace Auditorium. The shows will be the last pre- sented on the Park Grace stage. The Little Theater will be moving next season to the old Central School and plan a major capital improvements drive to renovate the building. Mary Ann Grant will direct the mystery play on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m. The setting for the three-act play is the drawing room of the home of Lady Pressilian played by Katharine Mauney. A group of people are brought together after some years apart and action centers around the relationship of Nevile Strange, portrayed by Craig Yarbro, and his former and present wives, Kay and Audrey Strange portrayed by Stacey Grooms and Stephanie Myers. Other members of the cast in- clude Joe Hullender as Matthew Treves; Jim Champion as Thomas Royde; Shannon Hullender as Mary Alden; Chuck Wilson as Ted Latimer, David Jones as Supt. Battle; David Blanton as Inspector Leach and Sam Wilson as P. C. Benson. The play is partially funded by a grassroots grant from the N. C. Arts Council. "HUCK : FINN STORY'- Tarradiddle Players will present "Huck Finn's Story" Friday night at 7:30 p.m. at Myers Center’ Auditorium at Gaston College. Admission for the family entertain- ment, recommended for school-age children and adults, is $3.00 at the door. Tarradiddle Players is a tour- ing company of the Children's Theatre of Charlotte.
