The bridegroom-to-be, son of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin 1 Weaver of Boiling Springs and Mr. and Mrs. Bob \ Short of Kings Mountain, is employed by Kings Mountain Electric Company. DEBORAH ANN GORE HANK HAMILTON Gore-Hamilton Miss Deborah Ann Gore and Hank Hamilton plan to be married December 14. The bride-elect is the daughter of Mrs. Betty Brooks Gore of Kings Mountain and Mr.and Mrs. Keith Gore of Gastonia. She is a graduate of Kings Mountain High School, attended Gaston College, and is employed by First Assembly Child Development Center. The bridegroom-to-be is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ted Hamilton of Gastonia. He is a graduate of Ashbrook High School and is a member of ‘Union Road Church of God. Biddix Mr. and Mrs. William Siemore Biddix celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary August 4. A reception was hosted by their five daughters and spouses at East Gold Street Wesleyan Church fellow- ship hall, Hostesses were Mrs. Robert Hall, Ms. Jan Ledford, Mrs. Steve Carpenter, Mrs. Mitch Howze and Mrs. Teresa Canipe. Cookout honors couple A cookout August 3 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Reynolds honored Beth Webster and Billy Wease, whose wedding takes place October 5 at 6 p.m. at Patterson Grove Baptist Church. The guests played volleyball and horseshoes and enjoyed swimming. The picnic tables were decorated in the wedding colors of cranberry and white. Miss Webster wore a silk shorts outfit and a shoul- der corsage. The couple was presented a plant and a decorative basket for their new home. Special guests were Mr. and Mrs. Norman Webster, parents of the bride-elect, and Mr. and Mrs. Billy Wease Sr., parents of the bridegroom-to-be. Handyman shower honors Billy Billy Wease, whose wedding to Beth Webster takes place October 5, was honored August 4 at a Handyman shower by members of his family. Barbecue with all the trimmings was served to 30 guests. Special guests were his fiancee, Beth Webster; the bride-elect's parents, Mr.and Mrs. Norman Webster; the bridegroom-to-be's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Billy Wease; the bride-elect's grandparents, Mrs. Frank Hamrick and James Webster; and the bridegroom- elect's grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Herndon and Mrs. Bill Wease. The hosts took the occasion to present the couple with a utility building for their back yard and the guests presented gifts such as garden hoses and tools.
