Ave., died January 14, 1992 at Cleveland Memorial Hospital. A native of Cleveland County, he was marricd ta Helen Wike Roberts and was sen of the late Ben and Katherine Borders "Roberts, He was a retired self-em- ployed brick mason and 2 member of Elizabeth Baptist Church. He had served in the U.S. Air Force. - Surviving, in addition to his wife, are one son, C. Timothy - Bond of Bedford, Texas; two step- - sons, Charles David Keller of Marion and Jeffrey E. Prescoit of Charlotie; one daughter, Pat Collingsworth of Bedford, Texas; five sisters, Mary Bridges, Nell ~ Carroll and Dorothy Beam, all of Shelby, Eva Harrill of Lawndale and Betty Kimbell of Forest Park, Ga.; and four grandchildren, David, Lynn and Holly Bond and ‘Cindy Hurst. : - The funeral was conducted Friday at. 11 a.m. at Clay-Rainette Funeral Chapel in Shelby. Piedmont Ave., died Janpary 18, 1992 at Kings Mountain Hospital. A native of Gaston County, he was the son of the late John Ross and Della Moore Roberts and was a retired grocer. He operated Roberts Grocery “on North Piedmont Avenue for a number of years before his retirement. - He was married to Louise Hambright Roberts, who survives, and was a charier member of Kings Mountain Baptist Church and a lifetime deacon and former Sunday School teacher. Surviving, in addition to his - wife, are three sons, Kenneth Roberts of Kings Mountain, Glenn Roberts of Charleston, S.C. and David Roberts of Gastonia: two ‘daughters, Mrs. Diane Houston of Mooresville and Mrs. Linda Tallon of Cowpens, S. C;. one sister, Miss Anni¢ Roberts of Kings Mountain; nine grandchildren and three great- grandchildren, The funeral was conducted Monday at 11 a.m. at Kings Mountain Baptist Church. BERTHA CLARY Mrs. Bertha Skinner Allen Clary, 90, of 111 Herman Court, died January 17, 1992 at Kings Mountain Hospital. A native of Polk County, she was the widow of Odell G. Allen and J. C. Clary and daughter of the late Joe and Hattie Cochran Skinner. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church and a homemaker. Surviving are one stepson, Lloyd Clary of Belton, S. C.; two daugh- ters, Virl Connor and Betty Cash, both of Kings Mountain; one sister, Mattie Brice of Greenville, S. ALICE LOWE Alice Anderson Lowe, 84, of 44 Landmark Apts., died January 16, 1992 at Kings Mountain Hospital. A native of Lockhart, S.C., she was daughter of the late Jacob Charles and Mary Jane Brooks Anderson. She was a retired textile employee. Surviving are one brother, John Anderson of Kings Mountain. DICK EAKER GROVER - Wilbur Marshall "Dick" Eaker, 69, of 310 Grover Rd., died January 16, 1992 at home. : A native of Clover, S.C., he was married to Catherine Wallace Eaker, who survives, and was son of the late Lafayette Ivan and Myrtle Costner Eaker. His first wife was the late Elizabeth Arrowood Eaker, Retired foreman of the Finishing Plant at Minette Mills in Grover, he was a lifelopg member of El Bethel United Methodist Church. He served in the USAF on Okinawa during World War II. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two sons, Ronald Marshall Eaker of Grover and Richard Wallace Eaker of Charlotte; one daughter, Linda Kay Egker of Greenville; four brothers, Gerald Eaker, Boyce Eaker, Jack Eaker, all of Kings Mountain, and Ralph Eaker of Hickory; three sis- ters, Averice Bridges, Ruth G.
