The Cleveland County
- Democratic Party will hold its an-
nual County Convention on April
4, at 11 am, Party Chairman Dean
Westmoreland announced today.
The Convention will be held in the
Auditorium of the Cleveland
County Office Building, 130 S.
Post Rd., directly across the road
from Cleveland Community
College.
Local delegates elected at recent
Democratic Precinct meetings will
represent all Cleveland County
Democrats at the Convention and
will conduct the Party's business

the removal of vehicles. Abandoned, nuisance or
junked motor vehicles unclaimed by the owner will
be disposed of by the tow truck operator or towing
business having custody of the vehicle. Before a
probable cause hearing, the owner may obtain pos-
session of the removed vehicle by paying the towing
fee, storage charges, posting a bond for double the
amount of such fees and charges to the towing busi-
ness.
The ordinance spells out the process the city takes
in notifying the registered owners. A request for a
hearing must be filed by the owner in writing with
the county magistrate designated by the chief district
court judge. The magistrate will set the hearing with-
in 72 hours of receipt of the request from the owner.
City Manager George Wood said the city needs to
livability and attractiveness of the neighborhoods,
which would promote tourism and industrial growth
in the area and present primary public visibility to
