Keisha Wilson led the KM at- tack with 2-for-3 and two runs bat- ted in. Tameeka Anderson, Tandra Leftwich, Jennifer Carroll and Courtney Goforth added one hit apiece. "Holly Hollifield, a freshman, pitched a good game and we played petty good on defense,’ Coach Tony Leigh said. "North Gaston just came through with key hits at the right time." The KM ladies were scheduled to face Crest in a non-conference game yesterday. They host South Point Thursday at 4:30 in the first game of the second round of con- ference action. Kings Mountain will compete in the West Lincoln Invitational Tournament next Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Midgette making his move Mark Midgette appears to be making a move toward the top in Tuesday Night Mixed Duckpin Bowling League action at Dilling Heating. Midgette swept second place Johnny Dye Tuesday night to take over second place, seven games behind league-leading John Dilling who swept four games from R.W. Hullender. Dilling now sports a 31-17 Duckpins knock The Rednecks appear to be run- ning away with the second half ti- tle in the Thursday Night Mixed Duckpin Bowling League race, but the second place Tailenders and third place Duckpins made up a lit- tle ground last week when the Duckpins won three games from the leaders. The Rednecks now sport a 38-18 record, followed by the Tailenders 27-29, Duckpins 26-30 and Spades 22-34. Three bowlers topped the 300 set mark to lead the Duckpins over the Rednecks. In the bantom division (for youngsters with birth dates in 1986 and '87), Brian Senter was first in 80 pounds, Josh McDaniel second in 90 pounds, Matt Bridges second in 60 pounds, and Jason Bridges third in 60 pounds. Middle School wins in golf Kings Mountain Middle School's golfers tied Crest for first place in a three-team match with Burns Monday at Pine Grove Golf Course. Kings Mountain and Crest shot 177 and Burns shot a 201. Kings Mountain's Sage Fulton was medalist with a three-over-par 39. Other KM scores were Casey Sipe 44, Nathan Mayse 45, Chris Foster 49, Jeremy Sheppard 53, and Paul Johnsonbaugh 55. Kings Mountain, which has won two matches and tied one, will host Crest and Burns in its final match April 27 at Kings Mountain Country Club. Cow pasture bingo planned The Kings Mountain: High Booster's Club is sponsoring cow pasture bingo June 6 at 5 p.m. at John Gamble Stadium. For a $2 donation, you can get a chance to win $300. All proceeds will go to the booster's club. Several organizations, including the girls basketball and volleyball teams, the wrestling team and Booster's Club are selling tickets.
