MRS. DANIEL CLAUDE WOODARD
Bolt-Woodard
First Baptist Church was the setting May 9 for the wedding of
Rebecca Ann Bolt and Daniel Claude Woodard.
Dr. John W. Sloan was assisted by Rev. Stephen I. Warren, uncle of
the bride, in officiating the ceremony for which music was presented by
Michael Sisk, organist, and Mrs. Marjorie Jordan, soloist.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a white taffe-
ta gown designed with portrait neckline scalloped with Alencon lace.
The wrapped collar formed a sleeve. The gown featured a fitted princess
bodice with a deep Basque waistline overlaid with Alencon lace heavily
embellished with seed pearls and iridescents. The Basque bodice fea-
tured a large butterfly bow. The full taffeta skirt was enhanced in the
front with a deep pyramid of Alencon lace with beading. The full skirt
flowed into a full Cathedral train with multi cutouts of Alencon lace
with beading. The skirt and train were encircled with a deep border of
Alencon lace. The fingertip veil featured lily of the valley flowers cas-
cading off each side of a pearl crown. The bride carried a cascading
nosegay with bridal pink and white Kuria roses, white Dendrobium or-
chids and Freesia.
Holly Elizabeth Dellinger of Kings Mountain was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Mrs. Joan Woodard Fulmer of Lexington, SC, Mrs.
Laura Duncan McCarter of Gastonia, Miss Mary Eleanor Mitchell of
Columbia, SC and Mrs. Kimberly Hawkins Vaters of Murrells Inlet, SC.
All the attendants wore tea-length dresses in a polished apple print
with an off white background and multicolored flowers. They carried
nosegays of multicolored flowers and wore off-white shoes. They wore
pearl earrings, gifts of the bride.
Lauren Meredith Bolt of Macon,GA was child attendant.
Best man was Arlo Dean Woodard of Greenville, SC, brother of the
bridegroom. Ushers were Jonathan David Bolt of Kings Mountain,
Robert Earl Brewer of Lexington, SC, Phillip Nathan Vance of
‘Greenville, SC, and David Allison White of Columbia, SC.
The bride's parents hosted the reception in the church New Assembly
Room.
The bridegroom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner May 8 in the
church New Assembly Room.
Mr. and Mrs. James Arthur Bolt of Kings Mountain are parents of the
bride, who is a 1984 graduate of Kings Mountain High School and a
1988 graduate of Clemson University with B.S. degree in Graphic
Communications. She is employed at State Printing Company in
Columbia. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey T. Cox of
Seneca and Mrs. Arthur C. Bolt of Westminster.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe W. Woodard Sr. of
Lexington, SC. A 1983 graduate of Easley High School, he is a student
at Midland Technical College and is self-employed. He serves with the
Air Force Reserve and completed seven months duty in Saudi Arabia
with Operation Desert Storm.
After a wedding trip to Aruba, Netherlands Antilles, the newlyweds
are at home at 6379 Platt Springs Road, Lexington, SC.

tion immediately. Corrections or clarifications will be made or the
Herald may choose to run the announcement again in its entirety.
However, announcements will not be reprinted when a lack of infor-
mation has been supplied.

St. Mary's Chapel in Charlotte was the setting Saturday for the 1 p.m.
wedding uniting Charlynne Todd and Michael Smith.
Rev. Angela Rogers, pastor of Mt. Zion Methodist Church in
Cornelius, officiated the double- Ting ceremony. which included the light-
ing of the Unity candle. .
The bride was given in marriage. by her father. She wore a : formal
wedding gown of white bridal satin featuring a Sweetheart neckline with
short lace sleeves. Matching tiers of lace enhanced the long skirt which
had a sweep train encircled with matching Alencon lace. Her hip-length
veil of illusion was draped from a white lace-trimmed hat. She carried a
spring bouquet.
Lisa Pattison of Charlotte was matron of honor and Shelley Peterson
of Greensboro was maid of honor. Karla Burnett of Spartanburg, SC.,
sister of the bridegroom, was bridesmaid.
The three attendants wore floral tea- length formals and carricd spring
bouquets.
Former Mayor Kyle Smith of Kings Mountain was his son's best man.
Groomsmen were Mark Smith of Kings Mountain, brother of the
were Lee Farris of Kings Mountain, brother of the bridegroom, and Jay
Myers of Spartanburg, cousin of the bridegroom.
The bride's parents hosted the reception after the ceremony, assisted
by Just Us Catering of Kings Mountain, owned and operated by the
bridegroom's mother. The pink and rose theme of the wedding was ob-
served in decorative details at Mint ‘Hill Masonic Lodge in Charlotte.
White ruffled cloths overlaid the refreshment tables.
The bride is the daughter of Charles Todd of Myrtle Beach, SC and
Dru Todd of Charlotte. She is a graduate of Independence High School
in Charlotte and N.C. State University in Raleigh. Prior to her marriage
she was employed as a Park Ranger in Mecklenburg County.
The bridegroom is the son of Mrs. Billie Owens Farris and former
Mayor Kyle Smith, both of Kings Mountain. A graduate of Kings
Mountain High School and N C. State University at Raleigh, he is a vet-
eran of the U.S. Air Force. He is employed as a Park Ranger with the
North Carolina State Parks at Pilot Mountain.
After a cruise to the Caribbean the newlyweds will reside in Pilot
Mountain.

Bridges-Falls
Cynthia A. Bridges of Boiling Springs and H. Donald Falls of Kings
Mountain exchanged marriage vows Saturday in Norman's Grove
Baptist Church in Belwood.
Rev. Cecil Buff officiated the ceremony for which nuptial music was
presented by Mark Jolley, soloist, and Tracy Bolin, organist.
The bride was given in marriage by her uncle Dave Greene. She wore
a lavender organza tea-length gown featuring knife pleats She carried a
bouquet of silk lavender, pink, and purple roses.

Mrs. Falls is the daughter of Mrs. Dorothy Bridges of Shelby and the
late Hoyte Bridges. She is a 1971 graduate of Crest High School and at-
tended Gardner-Webb College and Cleveland Community College. She
