OWENS Lora Stewart Owens, 93, 606 West Gold Street, Kings Mountain, died Monday at Woodland Skill Nursing Home in Rutherfordton. A homemaker, she was the daughter of the late John Anderson and Adelaide Hambright Stewart, and wife of the late James S. Owens. She is survived by two stepsons, Paul Owens and Frank Owens, both of Kings Mountain; one brother, Charles Stewart of Kings Mountain; and one sister, Hattie Haskins of Kings Mountain. A graveside service was con- ducted by the Rev. James Williams jan at 11 a.m. at Mountain = Rest Cemetery. Marshall Glenn Waldt, 73, of 2097 Bethlehem Road, died August 2, 1992 at Kings Mountain Hospital. i A native of Walhalla, SC, he was the husband of Mary Louise Thompson Waldt and son of the late Fred and Mattie Magnolia Addis Waldt. He was a World War II Army veteran. : Surviving, in addition to his wife, are one son, Marshall L. Waldt of Kings Mountain; two sis- ters, Lucille Brooks of West Union, SC and Lila Youngblood of Pickens, SC; two grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. A son, Calvin Frederick Waldt, died October 18,1984. : The graveside service was con- ducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Waldt Family Cemetery. Rev. BYERS GROVER- Forest Alonzo Byers, 68, 115 Melvin Court, died August 4, 1992 at Cleveland Memorial Hospita. iHe was a member of Shiloh AME Zinon Church and served in UiS. Navy during World War II and was a retired truck driver. Surviving are two sons, Ardist Byers of Kings Mountain and Charles K. Byers of the home; four daughters, Mae B. Gardner, Diane B. Feaster, Linda B. Goode, all of Grover, and Christa B. Adams of Kings Mountain; 21 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. The graveside service will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Shiloh AME Zion Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at;the home at 6 p.m. Thursday evening. GENEVA LOVELACE Geneva Putnam Lovelace, 91, of 414 Tate Terrace, died August 3, 1992 at Cleveland Memorial Hospital. J A native of Cleveland County, she was widow of Lonzo H. Lovelace. She was daughter of the late Willie and Quillie McSwain Putnam. She was a charter member of Midway Baptist Church. Surviving are one son, Rev. L. H. Lovelace of York, SC; five daughters, Colleen Ballew of York, SC, Mozelle Bullard and Louise Dover, both of Kings Mountain, Mary Suc Quinn of Clover, SC, and Elizabeth Gilpen of Panama City, Florida; 28 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; and 10 great- great grandchildren. The funcral was conducted Wednesday at 4 p.m. at Harris Chapel. Rev. James Hamrick and Rev. John Adams officiated. Burial was in Woodside Cemetery at Clover, SC. FRANKLIN GALVIN Franklin Leonard Galvin, infant son of Krystal and Thomas Owen Galvin of High Point, died July 31,1992. Surviving, in addition to the par- ents, are one sister, Grace, of the home; and the grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Huffstetler of Kings Mountain and Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Galvin of Cincinnati, Ohio. The graveside service was con- ducted Sunday at 3 p.m. at Mountain Rest Cemetery by Rev. John. Futterer, Resurrection Lutheran Church. DELBERT PATRICK Delbert Gaffney Patrick, 57, of 117 Monte Vista Drive, died August 4, 1992 at Cleveland Memorial Hospital. pastor of A native of Cleveland County, he was the husband of Catherine Holland Patrick and son of the late Walter Gaffney and Myrtle Maric Oliver Patrick. He was a retired cmployee of Lithium Corporation of America. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are one stepson, Douglas Haynis of Shelby; four daughters, Renee Smith and Tammy Moody, both of Elk Park, Teresa Greene of Deep Gap and Deborah Calhoun of Newland; one stepdaughter, Rhonda Camp of Shelby; one brother, Charlie Patrick of Kings Mountain; two sisters, Laura Allen and Aileen Duncan, both of Kings Mountain; and 13 grandchildren. The funeral will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. at Harris Chapel. Rev. Scott Wade will offi- ciate. Burial will be in Mountain Rest Cemetery.
