KMLT to The text for M*A*S*H is simple but the costumes and the atmo- spheric lighting is elaborate in the setting of the 407th Mobile Army Surgical Hospital for KMLT's pro- duction this weekend. Doctor's tents, nurse's tents, mess halls and soldiers everywhere in olive drab fatigues resemble the sets for the popular movie by the same name. In the background is the menacing sound of artillery fire. The comedy in two acts with a cast of 30 people will open Friday night at 8:30 p.m. in B. N. Barnes Auditorium. The closing show will be on Saturday night at 8:30 p.m. All tickets will be sold at the door for $4 each and all proceeds will be applied to the KMLT building fund. Chuck Wilson is directing his first production and fundraiser since he became active in Little Theatre several years ago. The play _is written by Tim Kelly from the book by Richard Hooker and pro- duced by arrangement with The Dramatic Publishing Company. Robin Spear has the role of the popular Maj. Margaret Hoylihan, commonly known as Hot Lips. Chuck Bridges is the personable Hawkeye, Captain Benjamin Pierce. Veteran director and L-T player Jim Champion portrays Father Mulcahy. Little Theatre President Jeff Grigg plays Major Frank Burns. Other members of the cast are Rev. Harwood Smith as General Hammond, Forrest Connor as Pvt. Boone, David Jones as Col. Henry Blake, Teresa Lyman as Captain Bridget McCarthy, Heather Caveny as Lt. Janice Fury, Mike Wray as Sgt. Devine, Stacey Grooms as Lt. A native of Cleveland County, he was married to Hazeline Adams and was son of Mrs. Beaulenia Adams. A retired employee of Firestone Mill in Gastonia, he was a member and trustee of Mount Olive Baptist Church. Surviving, in addition to his wife and mother, are three daughters, Tammy McCluney of Kings Mountain and Donna and Heather Adams, of the home; one grand- child, Dymon Adams of the home; his mother-in-law, Mattie Carroll of Kings Mountain; one son-in- law, Antwaun McCluney of Kings Mountain; two brothers, Eddie Adams of Pittsburgh, PA and Roscoe Adams of Owings Mills, MD; one sister, Daphne Adams of Kings Mountain; 10 nephews and five nieces. The funeral was conducted Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Mount Olive Baptist Church. Rev. Willie A. HUGH JEFFREY ADAMS Maddox officiated, assisted by Rev. Michael Hill, Rev. Albert Perkins, Rev. Stellie Jackson, Eddie Adams and Fred Bates. Burial was in Mount Olive - Memorial Park.
