Saturday, July 25, at Missionary Methodist Church. The Rev. H.S.
Scruggs officiated. :
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Heavner of
Cherryville and the granddaughter of Nancy B. Heavner. A graduate of
Cherryville Junior-Senior High School and Gaston College, she is em-
ployed by Carolina Freight Carriers Corp.
Parents of the bridegroom are Charles Edwards of Cherryville and
Jane Edwards of Cherryville. He is a graduate of Cherryville Junior-
Senior High School and is employed by Rodney Ballard Construction,

Cherryville was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Carla Bowman of
Cherryville and Kim Hullender and Kristina Moore both of Kings
Mountain. They wore tea-length dresses of midnight blue iridescent
taffeta with off-the-shoulder necklines. The bodices and sleeves were
accented with sequins. They carried a long stem Rubrum lily,
Charles Edwards was his son's best man. Serving as ushers were
“Benny Blackburn of Boone, Jeff Patterson of Kings Mountain and
of Cherryville.
. Immediately following the ceremony, the bride's parents entertained
at a reception in the church fellowship hall. The bridegroom's parents
were hosts at a rehearsal dinner at the Cherryville Community Building.

The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Stuart Knighton of
Andrews and Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Foster of Kings Mountain.
Joseph Threatt of Gastonia gave his aunt in marriage.
