DARRELL CRAIG CAMPBELL McDaniel-Campbell Park Road Baptist Church in Charlotte was the setting for the Saturday wedding uniting Catherine Elaine McDaniel and Darrell Craig Campbell. Dr. Allen Layman officiated the ceremony for which Louis Porter was organist. Rick McDaniel gave his sister in marriage. The bride wore a long- sleeved white gown of bridal satin featuring a sweetheart neckline ac- cented with seed pearls and sequins and a long skirt with cathedral- length train. Her veil was attached to a tiara of interwoven pearls accented with sequins. She carried a bouquet of white roses and mini peach carnations. Wanda Rust of Charlotte was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Cheryl Campbell of Charlotte and Renee Laughter of Winston-Salem. All the attendants wore emerald satin floor-length gowns designed by Alfred Angelo and carried bouquets of peach roses and white mini car- nations. Richard Romine of Myrtle Beach, SC was best man. Ushers were Chris Eaton and Jimmy Hasapis, both of Charlotte. at home in Charlotte. The bride's mother hosted the reception after the ceremony in the church fellowship hall. The bridegroom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner Friday night at Cousin's Restaurant in Charlotte. Mrs. Campbell is the daughter of Mrs. Josie McDaniel of Kings Mountain and the late Joe H. McDaniel Jr. and granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Murphy Hill of Kings Mountain. A graduate of Kings Mountain Senior High School, she holds a BA degree in Radio, Television and Film from Western Carolina University and is employed by WCNC-TV Charlotte as a commercial operations assistant. Mr. and Mrs. John Campbell of Hamlet are parents of the bridegroom. A graduate of Richmond Senior High School, he holds a B.S. degree in Business Management from Pembroke State University. He is employed by World Omni Financial Corporation in Charlotte as a credit analyst. LAURA MARIE McGINNIS McGinnis-Titshaw Mrs. James Brooks McGinnis of Kings Mountain announces the en- gagement of her daughter, Laura Marie, to David Phillip Titshaw, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Titshaw of Atlanta, Georgia. The bride-elect, also the daughter of the late James McGinnis, is a 1979 graduate of Kings Mountain High School and a 1983 graduate of Clemson University. She is employed as sales manager at Procter & Gamble. The bridegroom is a 1979 graduate of Briarcliff High School and a 1983 graduate of Georgia Tech. He is employed as Business Development Manager with Clorox Company. The wedding will be an event of December 12. DEBRA J. SMILEY JAMES D. HAWKINS JR. Smiley-Hawkins Betty Smiley of Belmont has announced the engagement of her daughter, Debra J. Smiley, to James D. Hawkins Jr. of Cherryville. Miss Smiley is a 1985 graduate of South Point High School and is em- ployed in optometrics by Dr. Randall Holland in Dallas. The future bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James D.
