Caitlin Marie Mezey is three CAITLIN MARIE MEZEY Caitlin Marie Mezey, daughter of Jose and Janet Mezey of Kings Mountain, celebrated her third birthday December 6. A party was held at the Mezey home on December 5. A Little Mermaid cake and trimmings were served to family and friends. Special guests were Casey and Koby Cavanagh, Hanna Clark, John Hanna, Kelli Hughes and Caitlin's brother, Tyler. Caitlin also celebrated her birth- day at a party with her playmates at Bolin's Day Care on December 4. Caitlin ‘is the granddaughter of Lewis and Frances Homesley of Kings Mountain and Basil and Margarita Mezey of Cherryville. She is the great-granddaughter of C.B. and Ruth Homesley of Cherryville. Singing at Gospel Holiness Church The Singing Meredith Family will present a gospel music concert December 13 at 6 p.m. at True Gospel Holiness Church in Kings : Mountain. Rev. Jerry Morrow, pastor, in- vites the public. D-Thursday, December 10, 1992 Memorial plaque honors Jack Kiser Local contractor Jack Kiser came out of retirement two years ago. to build the new gymnasium, Sunday School annex and kitchen at Foursquare Gospel Church. Recently, the congregation hon- ored him with a memorial service and paid tribute to the man for his generous contributions to the church. Kiser built the new sanctuary in 1982, the elevated baptistry and dressing rooms in 1987, and the large glassed vestibule in 1987. He died this year. Rev. Oscar Stalcup, pastor, led the service, which included presen- tation of a 20x32 plaque to Kiser's family. The plaque featured a lev- el, hammer and saw and a picture of Kiser with an appropriate in- scription. Making the presentation were members of the church council Carveth Wells, Robert Eng, Berry Rev. and Mrs. Oscar Stalcup hold the memorial plaque presented by Foursquare Gospel Church to the family of building contractor Jack Kiser. The plaque hangs in the vestibule that Kiser built. USDA Choice Beef Bostic, Scott Crawford, Robert Jones, Jack Forbes, and Jerry Facemyer. Kiser was the church's building contractor for 10 years. The plaque has been hung in the church vestibule. Members of the Kiser family’ were honored at a dinner after the service at Holiday Inn. Mrs. Kiser said the family plans to plant a dogwood tree at the church in memory. of her husband. Foursquare Church has complet- ed $600,000 worth of improve- ments in recent years and Stalcup said the faith of the congregation and the dedication of such people as Kiser made it possible. A building contractor in the Bessemer City/Tryon area all his life, Kiser supervised much of the construction work at Lithium Corporation in Bessemer City.
