CHARLES EVERETT HAMILTON IV Minnix-Hamilton Lafayette United Methodist Church in Shelby was the setting Saturday for the wedding of Amy Elizabeth Minnix and Charles Everett Hamilton IV. Rev. James L. McKinney officiated the ceremony for which Mrs. Jill Martin was soloist and Tommy Greene was organist. The bride's father gave her in marriage. The bridegroom's father was best man. Susan Gidney of Shelby was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Virginia Hamilton of Gastonia, Nancy Holsenbeck of Chapel Hill and Carmen Hunsinger of Shelby. Paul Minnix was ringbearer. Ushers were Wayne Hamilton, Bo Ballard and Rusty Bumgardner, all of Kings Mountain, and Steve Minnix of Shelby. The bride, daughter of Mrs. Jane Corey and Steve Minnix, both of Shelby, is a graduate of Shelby High School and Gaston College School of Nursing. She is employed as a registered nurse at Cleveland Memorial Hospital in Shelby. The bridegroom is the son of Marilyn Hamilton of Gastonia and Charles Hamilton III of Kings Mountain. He is a graduate of Kings Mountain High School and Appalachian State University with a B.S. de- gree in Computer Science. He is employed at Medical & Professional Systems in Charlotte as a computer programmer. After a wedding trip to Charleston, SC the newlyweds will reside in Shelby. Amy Minnix ‘and Jane Corey hosted the reception in the church fel- lowship hall after the ceremony. The bridegroom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner Friday night in the church fellowship hall.
